The corner unit is looking better now.
I have started on some storage units and bookcase. The storage units are light and seem to be coming up okay.

However the bookcase - from Argoo is not covering very well. It has a shiny surface - I don't want to attempt sanding as it is such a cheap unit - may fall to bits.

Hmm, the inside looks like it's not sticking. Let it dry and see if it passes the fingernail test. If not, wipe/ sand it off and try again with some melamine paint?0

have you tried adjusting your recipe? More paint, more plaster of Paris, more stirring, less water. In the photo it looks like neat thinnish emulsion, which doesn't stick all that well to laminate type stuff. Mind you the first coat of anything looks scary and thin.0

Did you just paint the chalk paint directly onto the DVD rack? I have z3 of them that need painting!0

I washed & dried it first - didn't even bother to prise out the little studs that are shelf supports! I think it had 3 coats of ASCP old white and a coat of Wilko varnish0

The fingernail test; can you scrape the paint off with a fingernail when it's fully dry. If you can, it's not working.0
