i need help choosing an annie sloan colour please.
i knew my husband had an old chair at a property he is doing up and my little girl wants to paint it and put it in her room with a cushion on it she wants emile i think its called if thats a colour that will go with lavender/purple, but hes said today theres another one.
I think Emile is a lovely shade, I've used it on a chair under French Linen, I then distressed the French Linen so that Emile shows through, and I love it!
As for the chair for your bathroom, how about Old Ochre, which is a sort of 'old' cream colour, not too yellow like AS Cream can be, or maybe Country Grey.
You could always go for something completely different as a contrast, Emperors Silk, with dark wax over clear wax could look stunning.
I'll try to find a pic of the chair I did.......0 -
chair in Emile, nice0

I gave the Chair a base coat of AS Emile, followed by French Linen which was lightly distressed in places to reveal Emile. I had to completely re-upholster the seat, new webbing, wool felt, foam, hessian etc, I then covered it with a Linen fabric from Nina Campbell called 'Zembla'0 -
looks lovely. you are clever0
