I've just found a pic of them on the reflection in my mirror here:

You can see part of my kitchen in the mirrors reflection with the vertically hanging string of hearts from the edge of a wall unit.

ok shabby chic'ers i need your help
my dd 10 has a white bedroom with one lavender wall i made these blinds to go with her bedding two years ago.

she has a day bed now with white duvet and this quilt i made
plus a purple throw and bunting but the blinds now look to week.
i want to make new blinds in a shabby fabric that has purple/lavender in to give the room a bit of umph
something maybe like this

i also want a bedside lamp
any suggestions on either does anyone know the fabric or something similar0 -

i really love the look of that purple and lavender fabric but wonder now if its too old for a 10yr old.
does anyone know any nice fabric to umph up her windows preferable with white, purple, lavender and maybe even green
we have spent all afternoon re painting her wardrobe and draws white

until i can buy her something new these used to be hideous pine and red fronts i painted them antique white when we built this house just given them 2 coats of bright white they look lots better for now.0 -
I think the purple floral is a bit too old for her, I'd be tempted to go for a green similar to the green in the quilt for a different contrast. You could maybe use it in varying width strips with the original blind fabric or add a few other ribbons/fabrics in for a mix."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

she wants to try and contrast with her one lavender wall thats why we thought purple/deep lavender.
also DH has just got another property to do up and apparently she has seen an old wooden chair in it she wants to paint and distress in deep lavender.
I've not been yet he said he will bring it home this week so we need to look for some AS paint too, she wants a white cushion with 'LOVE' appliqu!d on it in different fabrics to sit on the chair and wants some fabric hearts made to hang off it.
she knows what she wants!0 -
I have a couple of Ercol chairs which I want to do up. I thought one might look nice in Deco Patch. I have looked on ebay and the stuff is quite expensive. Could I use alternative to the real thing or would it be a mess. Not sure how many sheets I would need but it is a pound a sheet and they are a bit less than a4 size, I think.Keep on trucking!0

what about a green & white gingham or check
or stripe? as an example see below (this firm also have bobble fringing in mixed colours)

or, you were talking about the other wall - wallpaper?http://www.decorsupplies.co.uk/purple-blue-green-white-303510-stripes-muriva-wallpaper.html
I'm sure I've seen a butterfly print fabric with various colours including fuschia, mauve, purple & lime on a white background but think where it was!0
