I wish I could crochet, despite being an older lady, it is not something I have mastered over the years. I have tried, believe me. I can knit, I suppose I should be grateful.

Hi, here is the bookcase that is in my hall.

    Bookcase_zps905fa793.jpg?t=1363019993

Mr F had this when we got together.
Do I keep as is, get rid or shabby chic?
I wonder if the hall will just look so empty if there is no furniture in it.
What do you have in your hall?

This is the glass cabinet in the lounge.

I am thinking - it goes.
At the moment we have a large lounge/diner but if I change rooms in the house round - the lounge will be smaller so less space for furniture.
Again Mr F had this when we met.

This is the corner unit in the lounge.

Again Mr F already had this when we met.
Do I get rid or shabby chic?
I have seen units like this painted up. There would be space to keep it.
I want to change the house so it has my stamp on it now.

we have so many books that I wouldn't part with a bookcase! ... maybe paint it and put it in the spare room.
The glass cabinet is pretty and will look nice painted. I saw a pic on pinterest where someone was displaying their shoes in one decorated but similar! I have two similar crammed full of china and curios, neither painted yet but they are in the queue.

The corner cabinet is full of potential. I've seen a few with the top glass door removed. I like to keep the dust out but it would speed up painting it.

ps in my hall there is a 6 foot pine book case , a bookcase made from blocking up a door in the recess, a little cupboard and a little half round table. And a fossil cabinet and several pictures and plates, It's a small hall!
