I don't ch in my corners, I just do 4 DC , it gives a tighter corner which is easier for squaring up to join (IMO). Are you starting your new round in the opposite direction?
I finished a chunky Arron blanket a few months back and then went directly on to a 4 ply one, it was like crocheting with spiders webbing.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a supplier of kN0bs and handles? I need a mix of sizes for kitchen units and my dresser. I'd like a mix of wrought iron and ceramic."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi, I got pine knobs from B&Q a pack of 10 for my kitchen and waxed them.
I have bought chrome ones for my dresser from ebay and I also bought beautiful glass ones with birds on for a chest of drawers from ebay. I have seen all manner of handles on ebay and in the diy stores.
If you want fancy ones again ebay but also Bombay Duck.
Im sure some lovely people on here will know of some other bargain places.0 -
I have just come back from DIY B&Q and they have knobs/handles next to kitchen displays and then cheaper ones in multi packs in the hardware isle. They have wooden, metal and some ceramic.0

I am obsessive and cannot stop once I start something. Its a curse!
Yesterday I was finishing off the nicest bag in the world (...I haven't pinned it yet but I'm mighty proud of it!!) and I was gasping for a drink. I was in this sorry state for a further 3 HOURS before I finally got up for a brew! I kept thinking, I will just finish this square, then I thought, I will just start off another one...., etc.
Awful!
I'm terrible with novels too. My life stops until I've finished it! I literally take it to the dinner table with my nose stuck in it and ignore the family. I will go bed at 3am when my eyes finally squeak shut in objection to the abuse I put them through.
:O
I now no longer read novels!!!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

My latest 3 creations.
The pink poppy pocket bag was made today.
All granny square bags in one way or another.
Love the rose one though. That one was inspired by Cath Kidston colours.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I have spoken to the kitchen designer today - told him I am thinking of going for a shabby chic kitchen. Problem I have - when I was going for integrated appliances - they would not be on show so a colour variation was not a problem. Now with appliances in view - got to try and match up a slimline dishwasher with a fridge and range colourwise - not easy.
Appliances are mainly white or silver or graphite - but I fancy a stainless steel range cooker.
Then I am thinking what colour shall I have the walls above my tiles - I fancy pink!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Here are my cabinets 2 were ikea and one was a yew sideboard.Ikea units chopped bits off top so can butt together, they were cheapy veneered pine. I used ASCP old white and the sideboard I made my own chalk paint. I changed handles on ikea units but couldnt get handles off sideboard. My new office & workroom are just about finished.
Im painting an old cheapy chest of drawers in ASCP provence today. Pics tomorrow hopefully if this dropbox link works.
