i am still looking for bedding for my bedroom at the moment its just plainish cream duvet, sheets and pillow cases.
the walls are white its south facing with a massive window and french doors so loads of light. i have oak bedside draws with simple lamps in silver with cream shades
i want to make it more cosy/shabby chic can anyone point me in the direction of some nice not to expensive bedding please that would brighten up a plain room, then i can think about changing the lamp shades to tie in.0 -
finished the little cupboard ( nearly, inside only half done) realised I shouldn't be in this thread but in the hoarders one.0

hmo - Dunelm Mill is worth a browse http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/bedding/bed-linen/bedding-collections/
if I could sew I'd have a patchwork throw over white bedding.0 -
I am drooling over the house pics and sniggering at mental pics of the bathrooms. *g* I was lucky enough to move into a new build house 18 months ago. I'm disabled and it's adapted for me which is wonderful. The biggest problem I have is to try to inject some personality into it; it's a plain magnolia box and I haven't done much to it as yet. In the middle of painting bedroom grey and shabbying it.
I was thinking of fitting a Dado rail in the living room but think I may opt for American style architrave moulding round the windows as well as possibly tongue and groove in the downstairs loo. I'm using you all for inspiration and then my friend who does the work for me to ground my ideas back to what is possible and affordable!0 -

The felt hearts I put on the mirror in the kitchen but I left them there this year may take them down as not sure the go with my lamp which was in my office but I thought I would see how it looks in the kitchen again not sure yet
The red and floral is on one of the units in my office
Anthe the other two are in our craft room which is open into our sun room so photo shows how it looks from either end but one has come out dark also have a small string in daughters room to march her bedding not got photo of that0 -

So you think pale grey tiles would go with a cream kitchen? My original thought was no to a wood/wood effect worktop but now I am wondering. I have had two independent kitchen blokes round - so many samples of worktops - no wonder I am confused.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Slate?
Grey hides everything and they are thick so very tough.
And always, grey grout on floors!
Florenceem, would it not be cheaper to get a builder in to quote you for the whole job? That's what we're going to do with our bathroom as it's plumbing, joinery, roofing, tiling and electrics. Also, then things are done in the right order!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
