Been recovering a pin board today as I am changing our kitchen completely..
Before:
After:
Lots more to do tomorrow, and the walls aren't staying blue either, but I haven't bought the paint yet, so that'll be a while."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

I just got an ugly orange pine chest of drawers for my bedroom from Ebay at the weekend that I'll be doing something similar with so it's nice to see how it SHOULD end up looking. *g*
Have spent the last hour or so priming anything has isn't nailed down. All of it very porous wood like old fruit crates and figured I would rather it soaked up lots of cheap primer than loads of expensive chalk paint. Also ordered some AS paint so will be nice to see the comparison between the Av and the AS. Also got some clear wax. Spending spree!
One thing I absolutely rely on as I am a clumsy mare is Big Industrial Wipes for any paint spillages/smudges. Shifts paint wet or dry from anything including hands. Comes in a large yellow tub from places like B&Q or builders merchants. I also use it to wipe down things prior to painting rather than sugar soaping. May be teaching granny to suck egs but thought I would pass it on.
Have a little bathroom cupboard to start priming tomorrow. It'll be finished off with chalk paint but am undecided at the moment whether to use any fabric on the inside and/or outside. Will try to post a photo later and would appreciate opinions please? Hoping to sell it.

I'm sure they keep moving the exit on Pinterest.
I can never find the way home either if I venture in.

Thanks hmo - the before worked really well in the kitchen as it was, but won't in the new colours. My old kitchen is in the kitchens thread here somewhere - I'll see if I can find it...(it's half and half at the moment so looks a bit odd, hence not taking new pictures!).
