I bought a dresser off Ebay a while back and it was dark green gloss with decoupaged doors....:eek: but I persisted with the sanding and painted it in a very cheap magnolia emulsion and distressed it back to within an inch of its life....then polished it ....for many it will be sanded back too much but I love it that way and did a gentlemans wardrobe the same and have them both in the bathroom...the wardrobe I took out the rail and put in 4 full width shelves to hold my sheets, d covers and towels...not everyones taste as many will probably think they could do with a couple of coats of paint :rotfl:



It doesn't look like this now as Ive got glass perfume bottles on it and the toothbrushes and mugs in a cupboards as its a pet hate of mine not liking to see toothbrushes on show....enjoyed giving it a makeover though

No you arent allowed to promote your blogs. However you can set it as your home page and people can go see for themselves. I just looked and you dont have a homepage set. So if you set it now we can wander along when the feeling takes us. Loving the pictures and would definitely like to see some more.

Yep - it will be an L shape with the vertical bit of the L the kitchen and dining area, with the horizontal bit the living room. We're putting bi-fold french doors between the living and dining areas so although it will be open plan, they can be closed to make the room cosier. The fireplace will be in the living room bit and the hawthorne paper is going on fireplace wall (far right wall) and opposite far left wall (the long one). Wow, did that make any sense at all?!

Glad I'm not the only one who struggles to spend money! This site is a blessing but also a bit of a curse sometimes. I've decided to go for it though, but only if I can store it at my parents' as I'd be so scared of it getting damaged in all the upheaval.

Those makeovers look fab, I'd love to see bigger photos! Do you have a blog too, or just a blog shop?
