Hello all,
I've been a long time lurker but always felt like a fraud as I've never done a shabby chic piece in my lifeI love the style, I think it is so beautiful. Truth is I lack the confidence to wield a paint brush for fear of ruining something.
In the summer we will be renovating our kitchen, finishing work in our lounge and tackling our bedroom. I am determined to overcome my fear and start 'shabbying up'!
I have bought some solid pine farmhouse chairs off ebay to start with, they were so cheap and they look so horrid at the moment that anything I do to them will certainly be an improvement.
I have two children so they need to be fairly hard wearing and not get scuffed or chipped too easily. What do you all suggest as the best way to tackle this?
Thanks all

AS time goes on you will get more confident. Just be wary of drips with gloss paint. Get a non drip version and less is more on the application!0 -
