hmo my speaker fronts were removable but according to Daddy BB (the font of all music related) not all are. How did you get on with your makeover?

I know a few of you on here already follow my blog but just thought I'd show you the before and almost after of our dining room. Some of you may remember my table and chair makeover from the very first thread (about 3 years ago now!!), Daddy BB built us the bookcases last week and I'm almost finished with the painting, just need handles for them now.

This is how it looked when we moved in...

And here it is this afternoon...

Hopefully after a bit more work, re-arranging and prettifying it'll be ok!

I have enjoyed looking at all your blogs, especially the ones with photos of the befores and afters. How would I find new blogs? Is there a way of googling them, what should I be searching for? Any tips from experienced bloggers?

Normally I find a blog I like the look of and then look to see their "friends" so I might open up 20 blogs, close down 15 cos they look boring, get stuck reading 1 for ages and think - ooh this is good, and then you can do the same thing all over again!

If you get a blogger account it's a great way to "subscribe" to blogs, and then when you go to your blogger home page it'll show you all the updates of all the blogs you like. It's brill.

yes I've done that but it does take a long time so I wondered if blogs were 'grouped' say all crochet linked together, all home design together etc, as I just seem to stumble upon them by happy accident.

your room looks great now doesnt it, well done.

i couldnt get the front of the speak and what with birthdays and a party i didnt have time to fight with it!

so ive painted it with FB Estate Eggshell white and just left the front black, it stands in the corner of my kitchen so blends in better with the white walls now at least.

i still need to make a roman blind for my kitchen so when i do that i may have another go at getting it off and cover the front in matching fabric then.:)
