Looks very similar to what we have picked for our hallway. It looks great in your pics.

Looks really good. We have laminate in our downstairs and like it, am thinking about doing it in the kitchen too but am nervous about leaks and it getting ruined.

My OH had the same worry, but we're siliconing along all the kickboards and *touch wood* we've not had any leaks since we moved in (apart from the exploding pipe upstairs, but that was a whole different adventure...) and Mr BB works from home so if we did it would be spotted and sorted quickly. I hope!!

Love the kitchen Bibbity - is it finshed now? Also love your chalkboard - its so satisfying taking something old or ugly (or both)! and turning it into something lovely.

Thank you! The flooring on the kitchen/dining side is finished but not the living room side (it's open plan, like an L shape). We've still got loads of fiddly bits to do like worktop edging on the island, painting bits, coving, covering the step at the French doors, etc but the kitchen bit isn't far off!
  • The kitchen and chalkboard are both gorgeous :T

Hello...I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask a sewing question? I would like to make some cushions for our high backed garden chairs. I can sew very basic things (like seems!) but haven't done anything more complicated and I don't know what to use for the cushion? Can anyone give me some tips or let me know where I might find more info? Thanks

Dunelm Mill sells batting/wadding on a roll, that you could sandwich between two layers of fabric. Or you can buy foam in the same place.

A Google search brought up this: http://www.dobbies.co.uk/blog/make-garden-furniture-cushions

However, I'm inclined to think it may be cheaper to buy ready made ones :o.

I wanted seat pads for my outdoor seats and the cheapest way I found to do it was to buy Tesco Value ones at 2 for £2 and then cover them with fabric from my stash. Foam pads alone were £1.60 each, so were more expensive, and with the Tesco ready made ones I had the correct shape and a waterproof bottom layer all ready to go for less money.
