Good luck brides for this weekend!
A week today for me and I keep burning myself on the cooker. Sobbed the second time cos was thinking about the photos. Shallow!
Everyone keeps asking if I'm stressed and it's getting on my nerves! I feel like I'm holding it all together, just, but made some silly mistakes at work today.
Still haven't got my menus, order of ceremony, table names, place settings and table plan yet. I do have my favours (did a bit of quality control, very nice) though and the boxes to put everything in per table.
I also have a big list of things to do at the weekend so I'm not panicking in the week. I can only take the day before off work and don't want to be running around too much! Got a nice facial and massage booked in for tomorrow.
Losingpatience, that's really nice of you to get them wraps, I haven't offered anything to mine! They had their final fittings on Wednesday night and my pregnant MOH made a bit of a fuss but I don't care if she turns up in her pyjamas any more, I've had enough!
Enchantica, glad you're feeling better.
Nikki, that's a lovely idea to book a meal the night before. Have a great time!0 -
Good luck to all of you getting married this weekend :j make sure you post some pix when you get a chance!
Can't believe it's a week tomorrow for me. Feeling very excited, calm and collected. All jobs are done so can relax for the weekend
Hope everyone else is good, glad plans all seem to be going smoothly.:j:j Got married on 12th November 2011 :j:j0 -
Well, 1 week to go for me!! Arrrgh and also...yay!
Going to the seamstress in half an hour for my final fitting to see how its all fitting now its been taken in. Cannot wait!
Enchantica, glad you are feeling better hun, my spots are clearing up (shallow i know) lol, so am happier in myself
Next few days are MAD busy for me now as although the marriage is a week today, we fly out to Orlando this coming Wednesday! So even less time to sort things out UK side!!
Got nails, hair, eyebrows, teeth whitening and eyelash extensions all booked in for the next few days!! I'm gonna feel like a doll at the end of it all lol. Plus gotta drop the doggie of tues morning too. Luckily she's going back to her breeder so there will be her doggie family there for her, still, i'm gonna miss her like crazy for a fortnight
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL WEEKEND BRIDES!!
I will come and say bye bye on Tues night and wish you all well fo ryour forthcoming weddings...
Right better get to the seamstress!!

Hi everyone
sorry i've been quiet - I've been confined to bed for a few days, burning up, trying to sweat the blooming bug out before next weekend! I feel a bit better, but quite chesty still.
As posted above, my table plan arrived, and yesterday a friend told me that she couldn't come to the wedding because her and her OH had split up and she couldn't face being at a wedding full of happy people!
Instead of being a good friend, all i could think was "bloody hell - do you know how much each day guest costs!"
I tried to convince her to attend with a female friend, to no avail so trying to decide who to invite - who can get friday off work at such short notice, who will fit at the same bloody table (with all my biker mates!) - how bridezilla is that! I feel guilty now for being a rubbish friend, but still annoyed with her for not coming!
Anyway - my Table names should hopefully arrive monday or tuesday, have just sorted out dogcare for our honeymoon, the braille order of services arrived today (phew) - also managed to drag myself to hairdressers today for my cut and colour, and OH took dog to groomers for his cut and blow
Tomorrow is our last day at church before the wedding, and then hopefully (health dependent) i'm off to a spa for the afternoon with my baby sister.
I've only got the day before the wedding off too - so a huge to do list and i'm woking monday 9-5 (and we've got the church rehearsal monday evening), and i'm working from 9am tuesday through to 5pm Wednesday (i'm on overnight duty tuesday and have got 3 full diary days of visits!!) - how stressed am i feeling!
Timescale for events so far is:
Thursday - Brows, waxing, manicure & pedicure!!!
Thursday teatime - take OH and son to hotel, check them in, leave my & BM's cases for friday night (hotel have agreed to move these to the correct rooms for us if we label them!), take everything for the sweet table, balloons, books, table decs, favours, etc.
7pm - Meet friends & family at hotel for a meal
9pm - Me go home with BM's
Friday 7am - Hairdresser arriving
1pm - wedding
saturday 10am - meet everybody at hotel for breakfast
Saturday take everything home from hotel, get honeymoon luggage and get to bus station for 3.50pm
3.50pm set off to heathrow
11pm - arrive heathrow - stay in premier inn for night
Sunday 5am - back to heathrow - fly to cyprus
relax for 7 days
Thats the plan anyway lol
Hope everything went well for todays brides, and that nobody was affected by that dreadful crash friday eveningThe newest Mrs Lindley...... I married my Welsh Soulmate on 11-11-11 xxx0 -

Congrats Kal25, and our other weekend brides and grooms!! I was thinking on sunday, what a perfect day for a wedding!! I'm praying that Friday's weather is like Sundays!! Fabulous!
We've got our rehearsal tonight at 7pm.....
Losing patience - thanks for the reminder - need to get my engagement ring cleaned!! will add it to the list!!
Have you got a bravissimo local? They have some lovely underwear in larger sizes, but i think you're pushing it for the mail order to arrive in time xx
H2b is booked in for his wedding haircut, but just realised today that little lad needs his doing too!! Will add it to the list!
My oldest son is playing the organ for the signing of the register, and my youngest is doing a reading at the church.
I've no idea what our first dance is - it will be a [STRIKE]shock[/STRIKE] surprise!! :rotfl:The newest Mrs Lindley...... I married my Welsh Soulmate on 11-11-11 xxx0 -
Thanks guys
Jope the others had a good a day as we did...it really was perfect.....and almost stress free :rotfl: My uncle decided he was gonna buy a new car 2 days b4 wedding knowing he was supposed to be giving a lift to my nan, auntie & cousin....he brought a car with only 2 seats in thre back....then to top it off on sat agternoon half hour before we were due to leave rings my auntie to say he can't get alarm off car and is waiting for someone to come sort it!!!!! my auntie was in tears ...but managed to get my sis b4 she got all way and she turned round and fetched my auntie and cousin for us.....only thing was she had rings to give to my son :rotfl: so I was a little panoicked as I was here b4 they were lol
However, it was all good...wasn't nervous at all until they opened the doorsI kept thinking my legs were gonna give way as they were like jelly...but it was ok coz when I got to hubby he too was shaking...so all good :A His face was a picture when the rings were handed over as he didn't know i'd got his ring (I told hum wouldn't b here til after wedding
) so worth the look on his face tho
.
Evening was just absolutley fab couldn't have asked for it any better really...everyone enjoyed rhemselves...we danced mingled and even managed to get 10 mins on out own which was niceThere was way too much food as sopme people never showed...but they weren't missed as the atmosphere was amazing. the room looked fab and was decorated with ballons on walls banners, paper tablecloths, scarves out of poundland, fibre optic lamps out of 99p shop and pull bows on the ends......decs prob cost me £40 tops I reckon
The cake has got to be the thing most pleased with the mr & mrs lea topper I made myself and I looked fab
Our first dance was wonder of you and just felt totally perfect
I didn't end up doing a speech as hubby made me emotional...he read his speech which was wonderful...but then decided he was going to read the note I wrote him at 6.30 saturday morning for him to read b4 we wed...telling him exactly how I felt. I wasn't emarrassed but it was just the letter was emotional but so true to how we both were feeling which was why apparently he had to read it.
Hope fully the link works...and you can see a few pics...they probably fuzzy as was taken on mobiles...waiting for proper ones off bro in law

Yay our first set of photos here on the thread!
Aw Kal you look gorgeous and sooo happy! I love your dress and your bouquet looks lovely. The cake is fab and the decorations look great. I'm glad your day went so well and that you had a fab time.
I seem to be getting better but now OH is down with a cold. Typical :P although I think he will get over it by Saturday. These things don't usually linger too long. If not then the Florida sunshine I'm sure will make him better come Monday! I should probably start packing...0 -
Thanks guys...am most pleased with how well the reception was taken...as we didn't spend much at all on the decs...part most proud of is the mr & mrs lea cake topper...I made myself:D:D Believe it or not made on the friday ( stressed was not the word lol) originally was goning to make from ribbon but couldn't get it to go...So I printed the letters off in the style I wanted...then cut and sticked onto weetabix box...then coloured by nailvarnish and decorated with stick on gems :rotfl::rotfl: wasn't sure it would look any good...but on the cake looked fab....and saved a fortune..so total cost for topper was £1 for the stick on gems :rotfl::p
