Hi all,

Also 2 weeks and 3 days for me too (11/11/11) and birthday 5 days after - us Scorpios must've chosen November for a reason!

Been a bit ill myself, weird stomach cramps which I'm putting down to nerves cos I am soooooooooo nervous about it all. Think I'm looking forward to the honeymoon more cos I am so tired and need the rest.

Still haven't had many replies, luckily we over-invited cos we're now on more not coming than we over-invited by but it's a small venue so it's not going to look to empty (I hope).

Hope everyone else is feeling better, sorry to hear about your honeymoon losingpatience!

Ha ha Scorpio Kitten and Swinstie, there must definitely be something about Scorpios marrying in November!

Just had a row with my MOH She fell pregnant a couple of months ago so I ordered (and paid for) a second dress for her. She didn't offer any money towards it and I didn't ask. However, I'd originally said I would buy her shoes. She bought a pair for £30 and asked me for the money today and I just asked her (really nicely actually) if she could at all possibly cover the cost of the shoes as her second dress busted my budget. She's completely gone off at me saying I shouldn't have asked her, she's skint (err hello, moving and marrying aren't cheap) and "sorry to be an inconvenience". I've stayed calm and said if you can't afford them, I'll give you the cash but she's gone on and on about it. It's not the first row we've had this year, she's put a lot of obstacles in the way about the wedding, think it's jealousy and it's really upset me. Meant to be going shopping on Thursday after work for perfume for the wedding with her but don't want to now

Sorry for the moan! Swinstie hope you feel better and get some more RSVP's soon. Have you chased any of them?

I'm having a day off today:p
yesterday was spent picking my dress and daughetrs dress up from shop...ready for me to go straight for fitting
I forgot just how good and amazing I felt in mydress and how goregous it looks.:o My auntie & mum came with me...thght my auntie was gonna cry My dress only needs turning up at hem :T so get it back tomorrow....£30 tho :eek: glad didn't have to have anything else done
We also went looking again for outfit for my mum...only to get comments like load of hassle for something I'm wearing for 5mins.....but I kept my cool quite well actually
We also tried to sort out stand for cake...and decorations that I think we are now sorted.....
My OH made me laugh sat nigth...he asked me if he was supposed to feel nervous the nearer it was getting as he isn't...he getting more excited said glad it not just me then :rotfl:

Greetings all! I'm feeling better now. Went to the doctor this morning (WHY it had to be the good looking male doctor today I don't know... when I have to talk about EVERYTHING that makes me cringe!) and he was really surprised that no one had been taking more action on the fact that I seem to have chronic UTIs. (TMI...) So on a 3 month course of antibiotics. If they don't sort out my pains then they will look into the possibility of a gut problem or lady problems. Fingers crossed these antibiotics will help. Would make sense for them to sort it out. Hopefully.

Getting there with the wedding prep, I keep forgetting we are going on a honeymoon lol. All I'm thinking about is the wedding day, not anything after it! Although did phone the spa hotel that we are staying at on wedding night and the next night, to make sure we can order breakfast to be brought to our room in the morning (since I will very likely wake up looking a bit worse for wear with 20 million kirby grips in my hair!). So we have to fill in the breakfast card once we get to our room (which will be around 2am) and then let reception know it's on our door. Me and OH drunk after wedding filling in a breakfast card... I will have no idea what I'm ordering hahaha, and then having to speak to reception. Nah hopefully I won't be that drunk :P

OH is getting on with the music finally, I think he will have it all put together by this weekend. I am going to venue the day before at noon to drop off our favours and place cards and presents for bridesmaids etc. Then one of my bridesmaids is taking me to get my nails done and out for lunch. Then I will need to do a taxi run with one of my rats to her house as she is taking care of him while we are on honeymoon. The other 2 rats are staying at our place and she will be checking on them. She has to take my lovely old boy Pepsi though because he's ill and needs to be kept an eye on and medicated. So that's sorted (and of course the rats are the most important thing ) and it's just other little things that need to be done. Getting there!! And feel positive again.

Zimm190 – I love that you started randomly making your own candles :P Bet they look lovely. Your hen day/night sounds like it was great and what you wanted. I think that’s the important thing, that you get the hen night you actually want. What did you decide what to do for favours in the end? I hope all your dental work goes well, I’m sure it will. And think how fab your smile will look in the photos!

losingpatience – how are your plans going? Did you manage to get something else booked for your honeymoon? I know it must be hard to be feeling positive about things, I hope you are feeling a bit better.

kal25 – good that you managed to get something else sorted for your cake, I’m sure it will be nommy It’s hard estimated food numbers isn’t it. We have 110 people coming to reception but only have 55 teas/coffees in the evening as apparently a lot of people don’t like a hot drink at that time. So I hope the estimation works out! These people know what they are doing though. Sounds like your dress is just about there, something else ticked off Hope you manage to find something for your mum to wear.

scorpiokitten – that’s good that you have got the legal stuff sorted for your Florida wedding. See you at Disney world :-P Well done on your weight loss as well. Brilliant! I hope you are enjoying your 30th today!

lucyh81 – Glad the hotel meeting went well, and that you are happy and confident that they will get things sorted out. Always makes you feel a bit more relaxed! Well done on your weight loss! Your hen sounds like it was great too.

Bluespirit – that’s good that the flowers have been decided on, another thing to tick off how are the rest of your plans going?

Chrissy1981 – sorry to hear you have been ill as well, rotten luck isn’t it! Although I would rather be ill now than on the day. Think of it that way! I like your table names, they are cool. I hope you have an awesome 30th birthday on Friday Glad you enjoyed your hair trial. Also sorry to hear about your MOH. I think she’s being a bit out of order, you bought 2 dresses for her so are already out of pocket. Could be her pregnancy hormones though, I hear they make folk go a bit mad sometimes.

Swinstie73 – sorry to hear that you are also a bit unwell, I think it must be stress for the lot of us! Wouldn’t surprise me. I hope you get some more replies from people, why can’t folk just let you know either way?!

What's not making me smile is these spots I've got on my chin! Not nice managable spots with a head, oooooh noooo - more like 2 itchy lumps really deep in the dermis, not sure if some type of acne that only afffects my chin???

Anyone know what I mean (and have a cure!!?) *sad face*

I can't believe it's a week tomorrow :j:j:j Sooooo excited...got all 3 of my children until sunday and then it'll be on serious countdown to the 5th :rotfl:
Tuesday I go get my wedding dress, as the wedding shop the lady was using to make my alterations has shut (luckily she doesn't work for the shop just uses their premises) but it meant hse didn't have time to do dress for wednesday this week like arranged, but as only hem needs taking up I'm fine about getting it tuesday and means less storage time for me :rotfl:
I still need to sort out the dec's but we getting there ( only thing stressing me out a little) Caterer's need to paid for..and apparently I need to rearrange back to original plan of them settting the buffet while we not there..so I been told
My boys blazers come and tho one is slightly big am sure we'll get away with it as it only really to make sure they don't freeze if it happens to be cold. Need to clean daughters satin shoes so that they are ready....someone said vodka?? still unsure whether to try the schnapps in the fridge given it's clear alcohol :rotfl::o
The cake decorations trying to sort...i brought purple glitter sugar stuff from asda yesterday and some edible spray( just need to see what that's like) as got feeling it not the glitter spray I wanted Need to get on with making my cake topper too...got an idea in my head but whether it works or not is a different matter :rotfl:
Other arrangements have changed....instead of being driven by my dad to registry office...me & daughter going with mum & step dad...this is due to my OH not having anyone able to drive his car back as his brother is only coming to the wedding....after over 6 weeks of not being sure he coming...he tells us this.....it means that me, OH and the kods are going back in his car...not traditional but am sure it will be fun lol
On top of this I've got college assignments to get done...so I can take an extra day off next week

I just want this wedding malarky over with! Got another 6 people not coming - no replies but they are family so have found out not coming! I am so angry, not that they aren't coming as tbh I couldn't give a flying fig whether they come, but to not even have the decency to tell me has really peed me off big time. I didn't expect everyone to come but 6 out of 20 people invited to only reply and to come is very, well, upsetting. Obviously I mean nothing to them. Especially since it was at the expense of not inviting other people cos I thought I'd invite so called family. As far as I'm concerned, if I never see or hear from any of them again I will be happy. *rant over*

Printed out my menus today and have been putting them in their frames, only gone and noticed a silly wee mistake, a small c instead of a capital C, duh!!! Oh who cares, just hoping no-one has eagle eyes and notices.

OH is away to Newcastle for his stag do and I've got my hag night tomorrow night, think there will be more people there than at the actual wedding, ha. Not heard from one pal who is supposed to be going, emailed her but she must be off work. Going to text but tbh got a feeling she ain't coming. Swinstie No Friends, eh!

I know what you mean... I have 6 uncles, and 3 of them are not coming, but STILL haven't had the decency to actually tell me this - another uncle told me that they are not coming.
Also, i've had terrible trouble getting hold of my cousin. Rang my uncle 3 times to ask him whether or not she and her hubby were coming or not, before he finally told me they had split up 6 months ago and so he didn't think she would like to come alone!!
If he'd have said 6 weeks ago, i might have felt some sympathy, but 6 months, and she couldn't even drop me a card saying sorry we can't make it!
Anyway - like you - rant over - and breathe......

Just finished reading all 14 pages - WOW you guys have been organised!!

My OH proposed last December, we looked for venues Jan and Feb, and having found a church and a hotel, did nothing more until May/June-ish.
No sorry - we bought wedding rings in the January sale! Will try to attach a pic if i can figure out how to?
I bought a dress from an outlet shop in May, so that has been stored at my aunts house since June. We ordered BM dresses at the same time - they arrived in september, my aunt collected them and they too have been stored at their house.
We went for a fitting on 8th october - my dress still fit perfectly (didn't lose a bloody inch!) and my size 24 BM is now an 18 so had to have her dress drastically altered... My size 12 BM had to have her dress taken out an inch and my age 8 BM, who we bought an age 12 dress, had to be taken out an inch!
Had a final fitting last weekend, and our seamstress is a bloody magician! All went perfectly.
the dresses are still with aunty in Northllerton, and need to travel down to halifax sometime soon....

We arranged a photographer 3 weeks ago, and got a 50% off deal, and arranged the cars last week for an amazing price...
We sorted a cakemaker about 8 weeks ago - she makes stunning cakes, but is branching out into wedding cakes and needs to build up a portfolio so is making our cake for the cost of ingredients - her time is free so we have a stunning 3 tier cake, and 12 cupcakes plus delivery and set up for £150

A different aunt is doing all the flowers for me as a wedding present, and my uncle is paying for the table decorations, my aunt is doing them for me.

MiL to be did all the invites as a wedding present...
