losingpatience - that's nice that you are having the cancer research favours as well, I think they are a really good idea and will help raise money for an important cause that is close to everyone's heart I am sure. I hope you have had a great holiday in Barcelona, that will have been a nice bit of relaxing without thinking too much about the wedding. Did you have the meeting about the flowers and find something you like? I have found family members really want to help me with things to but I can't think of what to get them to do.

Bluespirit - so sorry to hear you have been made redundant, that's never a fun thing :( Do you have any other jobs lined up, or are you looking? How is the house selling going? Yep there is a 'waiting to try' thread on mumsnet in the Conception forum, my name on it is Ratata. How did the meeting about the stationery go?

scorpiokitten - hello and welcome to the November wedding thread! I have added you to the first post. Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding, it's not far away now! Less than 5 months! Scary but exciting too. How fantastic that you are getting married in Orlando, that will be lovely. And you should have lovely weather too (that's why we chose it for our honeymoon, that and the fact we are big kids who love Disney lol). How long are you staying for in Florida? We will be there 14th until 24th Nov. Aw you are a Maggie Bride, how wonderful. Your dress is BEAUTIFUL. Really gorgeous. I have found that Attraction Tickets Direct website have decent park ticket prices for combined Disney parks + Universal. Still expensive at around £300 each for 14 days but best I have found so far.

I am getting on really well with the prep just now surprisingly! Really got going with it. Got all the invites made and in envelopes ready to be delivered at the end of July (mid July for day invites). Got my bouquets of blue wooden roses made too and the table plan finalised. I think all we are left to do is music (still!), add bits to the ceremony and meet with new celebrant (other one cancelled as she is pregnant), do the legal forms and the name cards. Also still to order the favours. And get the Disney park + Universal tickets. Not too much to do. Under 5 months to go!!!!!! Will get photos of my invites and bouquets up soon, hopefully tonight.

When I say November it seems so far away, then actually counting the months it really doesn't seem so far after all! Getting to the 4 and a half month stage soon! Eep!!

    Happy planning everyone xxx

Also, still to get groom's outfit and ring which we are going shopping for this Saturday. And to find me an outfit for a muslim wedding we are going to in July. The frocks I have don't cover me up so much...

Here's one of the evening invites, the wedding ones are the same with different wording. I made them myself as you can probably tell :) The main invite is on the front with the RSVP card (and menu card too with the day invites) tied to the back, they are white card. Envelope is at the back.

Can't believe you have your invites done Enchantica - they're lovely by the way!

I'm making ours but haven't even thought about starting yet, infact everything weddingy is packed away for the house move. We move in August and I thought that would be plenty of time. Everyone who is going to the day (only 30) know they are, well apart from 10 of them.

Lol Swinstie73, I don't really have too many hobbies so it gives me something to do when I'm bored in the evenings. I thought I may as well get them done and ready in case anything went wrong. My July is a bit busier so I did worry in case I didn't have much time then as most of my weekends seem to be filling up. Don't worry, you have pleeeeeeeenty of time to get yours done :D x

When is everyone sending invites by the way? We are sending our day ones in mid July and evening ones at the end of July. I want to send them now but think it's a wee bit early :p

Our wedding is November 5th and we sent the invitations yesterday! Have been getting texts all morning from people opening them, very exciting! I would have been happy to wait till July or August before sending them but we've had lots of people asking for hotel info etc, and we could also do with knowing sooner than later who can't make it so that we can bump up people from the evening list.

Welcome Zimm190 :) Aw I can't wait to send my invites. That's so exciting you have sent yours out already :D What kind of theme are you having for your wedding? Are you going on a honeymoon? Would love to hear all about it.

Enchantica - Thanks so much for the welcome hun, am getting very excited buying all the things! Today i am off to get my tiara/side tiara (will prob end up with both and decide on the day!) lol :D

Aww i LOVE your invitations, sooo wintery and cosy! - Lovely to look at... winter, but too cold for my big day though personally, I guess that is the main reason why we are doing one to warmers climes for our date lol. And what a great idea wooden roses are too!

So pleased you like my dress. She is indeed beautiful to wear :) Just can't wait!

We are in Florida from 9th- 22nd Nov (13 days) so will be there whilst you two are aswell.

If i can give you any advice, it would be to get hold of some 'Minnie bride ears' to wear whilst in the Disney parks, as when the cast see them you get special treatment, yay! We got ours from ebay (and even my H2B has the male version too - a 'Mickey' tuxedo type one.) You can get them from American ebay sellers or occasionally, English peeps that have returned home with them. There is one for sale on ebay at the mo (english seller too, very rare find), if you want the link, let me know as the spelling on it is weird so you won't be able to find it under normal search i don't think..

Also, we've just bought from an American ebayer some DisneyWorld 'Just Married' buttons (badges) as again these are great to wear around the Disney parks for all the special attention and goodies you'd get from the cast members. They used to give these out at the gates for free, but now they are retired and they don't do them anymore, so i got in there quick and bought some!

Thanks for the advice re: park ticket prices, i want 5 parks (US, IOA, SW, AQ and BG) and all the Disneys, so will be looking for that also.

Speak soon hun, i best go - I can hear my tiara's are calling me.... :D

    xx

Thanks very much Enchantica! The theme is autumn/winter and very rustic-looking. We're going heavy on the pine cones! We've got mulled wine, black peas, sausage and mash, fireworks, and sparklers all to tie in with the season and Bonfire Night. We picked the date because we love the time of year (and I just couldn't bear to be hot and bothered in my dress with a summer wedding) - really hoping for a sunny, frosty day but we're prepared for rain (just bought six huge ivory golf umbrellas!). Also, November is our anniversary anyway so we'll have been together nine years and a day when we get married!

Unfortunately we can't go on honeymoon immediately (was pretty gutted about this but got my head around it now!) due to OH's PGCE but that just means we'll have something to look forward to next spring!

Really like your invitations, especially the snowflakes! Isn't November a great month to get married in!
