    enough abt my jugs!! :rotfl:

we're off to our venue tomorrow to just ask a few more questions abt the day so made a few notes to take with me, theyre mostly questions that i asked on our first visit but want to double check that they're happy to set the candles out for our ceremony and light them - we're getting married in the conservatory of the hotel and are having tea lights all the way around the window sill, 100 in total but at 40p each from Ikea i cant complain! Bought the long burning tea lights from m&s in the 20% off homewear so another bargain.

Saw the florist today and paid our deposit, took other half with me who doesnt like roses for his button hole and today decided he also doesnt like the gerberra idea which is one of the flowers in my bouquet so he's having a long stemmed cala lilly in purple - the florist said he would put one in my bouquet to make it match so OH happy now!

Hope everyone is well - 6 months tomorrow for me!! :D

losingpatience - I hope you have success with your dress when it arrives in July, how exciting! And well done with your weight loss too, that's brilliant. Domincan Republic will be lovely for your honeymoon, it looks gorgeous from the link you posted. The dried flowers you put the link to are lovely as well. All your games you are having sound like so much fun, definitely not going to be short of entertainment at your wedding. Have you thought about wooden roses for your bouquets? They work out cheap from ebay (it's what I'm having). They may not be what you want though. I found artificial flowers to be quite expensive too. With 5 bridesmaids I just couldn't justify it.

Bluespirit - that's exciting that you will be trying for a family after you are married as well. I have already registered on Mumsnet and I'm on a 'waiting to start trying' thread with a few other people, it's a laugh on there. I'm so excited about starting a family. It sounds like you have been finding some great bargains with your ring pillows and BM jewellery, well done you. And mmm fudge wedding favours will be so tasty. I know what you mean about not wanting extra work to do just before the wedding, think you have done yourself a 'favour' getting the fudge ones done. How is the house selling/hunting going?

littlecat29 - nice to know that your jugs are all sorted :p They sound like a fab idea. Have you done your invites? How did you get on at the venue when you went?

Chrissy1981 - it looks like you have been a busy bunny on the wedding front :) You have got so much sorted which is brilliant! Well done you. Aw things won't be so scary when you are sitting there surrounded by family and friends, more than half of which you probably know quite well. It will be great. The chocolate favours look really tasty and a nice price too. Nice to know you are also going to start trying for a family when you are married. I totally know what you mean about wanting to start now, me too! But then I had to remember that a steel boned corset doesn't go well with a pregnancy bump! I'm going to stay on the pill as well til the honeymoon, had thought about coming off early as well but, like you, I figured I could get pregnant beforehand by accident! Did you have your shoe party?

I've been in wedding mode finally, was getting worried that I wouldn't get started on things again! You know when you just get into a lull and think it's a while away yet... when in fact it's almost down to the 5 month mark! Short in terms of wedding time. I have just about got all my invites printed and put together. I just need to get the information sheet done and sort the gift list info to put on it. Will need to put up a pic of my invites when I take one.

Need to get the favours bought, we are getting Cancer Research ones. They say a donation was made to the charity and include a pin badge. I have emailed the venue to get an update on the cost we expect to be billed for and they have replied back with the changes (added in the canapes and taken out some candelabras as we only need 6) so have a better idea now. Really impressed with the venue (The Caves) because they are really fast at replying to emails and have nice helpful wedding co-ordinators.

In other news, our honeymoon to Disneyworld Florida is booked :D Flights, hotel and transfers. Just need to get the park tickets and spending money saved up. Here's the hotel we are staying at: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/all-star-movies-resort/ We are such children lol. So excited that it's finally booked.

Can't believe it's almost only 5 months away!!!

Hi eveyone, sorry I've not been about much. House selling and job hunting (I've recently been made redundant too) have been at the top of the list. Not much wedding prep getting done for a while!

Losingpatience - your honeymoon destination looks lovely. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Hope you've enjoyed Barcelona too - I think its a great city!

Enchantica - your hotel looks amazing. I'd love to stay in a Disney hotel sometime. I think it'd be great to really get into the spirit of all things Disney! I bet you'll have such good fun staying there. I didn't realise there was a waiting to try thread on mumsnet. Will need to check it out!

Tonight we're meeting a lady who designs stationary. We did think about doing it ourselves, but its looking like too time consuming giving everything else just now, and this lady seems reasonably priced from her website so will see what she says. Less than 5 months now!

Hey fellow November brides and/or grooms

My wedding date is the spectacular 11/11/11 (please can you add me to the first post pwetty please) in Orlando, Florida! :T

11 is mine the the fiance's lucky number so have been waiting for this date for years :) We booked last April with Virgin holidays using Tesco vouchers (same with our rings from goldsmiths!) So a big thanks for that Mr T  and are having a luxury 5* hotel wedding out there, then onto international drive after a few days relaxing at the wedding venue, for the FUN part! :D

We fly out from Manchester Airport on the 9th Nov, and have chosen the wonderful Florida purely for the weather at that time of year (around 25 degrees still) as we were dead set on that date, plus we have never been to that part of the States, so am doubley excited!!

Oooo, also it's my soon to be husband's birthday on the 19th Nov whilst we are over there still, so gonna be really great!

Picked up my Maggie Sottero dress on Monday and i  it big time! Just cannot wait to wear it!! Got my shoes and jewellery today too from Debenhams whilst this sale is on, so all is going well so far, all are gorg!!

Still got to hire the Grooms/best man/father of the bride suits yet, so will look for them next week probably - No colour scheme - my shower bouquet (artificial - to carry over there and back!) will be pure white cala lillies/roses/freesias maybe? so the colour scheme i guess will be sort of silver and white. (boring huh? :D)

Only 9 of us will be there, so will be SUPER intimate just as we wanted, close family and friends, followed by a UK reception (read drinks and karaoke lol), about a week after we land back in the UK, to show off my dress again (any excuse!) to those who couldn't be over there with us.

Honeymoon is Orlando itself, with my nearest and dearest present too for all the fun and frolicks, what more could a girl want :) Have been on the hunt for park tickets now at the best prices i can find for us all....

Can see from the first post a few others getting married on our day too. Big congrats to all getting married soon on here. If anyone wants pics of anything, or any info, just yell

    Congrats again y'all

    Sonia

Hi scorpiokitten, and welcome to the November thread! Your wedding sounds great - its so nice that you've waited a while for the date you want. Which Maggie dress have you got? I too am going to be a Maggie bride - and have the Victoriana dress. I can't wait!

I'm spending today doing wedding stuff - keeping in contact with people and doing our wedding website, since its such a miserable Saturday!

Hi bluespirit hun :) Thanks so much for the welcome  I too am doing wedding stuff, got my venue and DJ booked for our UK reception a few days ago for when we get back home, (an excuse to show off the dress again, lol) so glad thats all done now.

I am constantly on ebay looking for things - Veils (must be shoulder length and have swarovski crystals on it) Buttonhole flowers, bouquets, side tiaras. Lol, just browsing away on it is fun though :D

My dress is the gorgeous Megan. The Organza makes it perfect for florida weather too (and not too heavy to carry over there! :D)

3 pics of the dress from the Maggie Sottero site here: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1306

(i will be wearing without the detachable flower, as underneath is gorgeous embellishment and dont want to cover it up)

    xx
