Know that feeling, like you are treading water not getting anywhere and some boogger is pouring more water on you. All I want to know is if Mother is expecting us for her birthday or if she is off away, will she give me a straight answer ... will she billyo!
    You will get through this.
Honey just a gentle reminder, make sure you get the accountant to get the THEM bits in on time as the deadline is 31Jan - give 'em a boot up the whatsit so keeping them on track. You are a customer so keep them on track

missrlr that is exactly what it is like. A little sun might help. I think we are meant to get snow on Friday (not much)

My Mom is going back to America on Saturday and I have some mixed emotions about that. I need a breather but she is so depressed I hate to not have her with me

    Hi All,

Really down today. They say January is the hardest Month and I think they are right!

Yes, I always find January the worst.

Has anyone used one of those light box things

No but I've often considered getting one as I definitely suffer from SAD in the darker months.

Hope you are feeling a bit better this evening. I totally understand how you feel about DM but all you can do is be there to listen to her woes when she needs you. You can't live her life for her or make this decision for her. Hugs honey because I'm sure at the moment it feels like its hitting you from every direction.

I know you work from home - have you thought about the daylight light bulbs perhaps just on the lamp / light on your desk? Might be an alternative.

Don't forget only 20 mins walk at lunchtime will help, or sit by a sunny window (well one that would get the sun if the sun was out) and eat your lunch???

I sit right next to a full length window, so that can't hurt!

lol re the above.... love that crazy woman......... Sat with my mum the other day talking about the hassles of children but how we love them anyway... would not be without them etc... So she said yes saw this programme the woman desperately wanted a baby..... had everything, money big house.. but was trying HIV and yet still no joy.... Mum do you mean IVF... lol :)

I am down here with my mam at the moment.. She has been through a lot of health problems lately.... and when I rang she sounded very depressed so hence the very quick trip down to see her.... hopefully we will cheer her up... I do feel for you America is a long way away.. and whilst they do drive us crazy they are still our mam`s....x;)

bast it is so true. There is nothing like being with your Mum.

Will you get caught in the snow being so far from home?

    Hi NewLeaf, :hello:

Finally caught up with your diary - sorry to hear Mom arrived with her own troubles rather than purely to help out - hope she's feeling better able to cope with her DH when she returns home at the weekend. I would be creeped out to discover that I was Wife Number Four after the wedding, that's awful, but at his age companionship is more likely what he was looking for rather than an 'end-game' love-affair.. If that's not enough for her; time to remind him whose home he's living in (hope Mom had a pre-nup).

Hardly surprising that all Mom's angst has brought down your own mood; hope you can enjoy the last couple of days with her before she leaves. :)

ps. Are you taking vitamin D? Can help when there's not enough sunlight in your life..
