debenhams, no SA in lancome and clinique and estee lauder... didnt want to goto biotherm again because i only got my brush set last week and it was same SA... got some origin sample (they squeeze them into little tub for you), first the lady said there is not sample in store AT ALL, then after a long conversation about i am interested in their exfoliating cream, she put some tester into small tub and gave them to me- so what was all that about?!?

I know that woman, and I don’t like her at all. She did exactly the same with me – at first she told me she hadn’t got any samples, but in the end she reluctantly gave me some from the tester, after I told her how much I liked their products (which I do), especially the mushroom cream etc etc. I told her I usually buy their products online (for convenience, and also because, as I’m sure you know, if you order online you get some lovely extra samples added to your basket :j), at which she replied: ‘But you should come here and buy from us!’ Yeah right

Well done michica, that was a very good haul! :T As you know, I’m very very busy at the moment. :( However, I took one hour off yesterday afternoon, and went to HoF. Lovely SA at the Clinique counter, she said she hadn’t got any night cream samples left, and gave me a day cream and an eye cream sample instead (just what I was looking for :j). Can’t wait for the 'Bonus Time' promotion in HoF. As I’m sure I mentioned earlier, this promotion will be running at MK HoF from Thursday until Saturday 2nd December (I guess that's a promotion which will available nationwide though - someone correct me if I'm wrong ).

Also went to Debenhams and got two Lancome perfume samples (‘Miracle Forever’ – the SA told me she hadn’t got any ‘Hypnose’ samples yet. Got a ‘Hypnose’ sample from Boots anyway). As you know, some great price reductions will be available at Debenhams from Wednesday until Friday, including 10% off cosmetics and fragrances. I guess I’ll pay them a visit on Thursday, before or after checking Clinique offers at HoF. ;)

    Good luck all :)

well done for the clinique cream- i am really into them at the moment, somehow i think i have lost the ones that i collected before the summer (the deluxe size clinique one which everyone was on about!)

anyways, what size are the clinique cream sample? the night one that i have had from john lewis is at 7ml i think.

i cant believe you have experience the same in origin. i was there the other time and the SA just happily gave me some from their tester. i take it the woman you are referring to has short, brown, reddish, spiky hair? she was the horrible one that i met yesterday!!! the most ironic was- i asked her if theres any ginger body butter sample, she replied no, then we were talking about the exfoliating scrub, and offered a sample to me, then said- oh did you say you want the ginger body butter? i said i may come back on wednesday since they got 10% off, so at the end she said- i hope to see you on wednesday!

    umm whatever!!!

    Yep, it's her.

To answer your question, the Clinique day cream sample (SPF15) is 7ml, and the eye cream is 5ml. Have tried the latter (you know, the first fine lines :o), and I am very pleased with it. The lovely Clinique SA also recommended me a cream called 'All about Eyes'. Maybe I'll buy some on Thursday. :)

Many thanks for this tip

Re Bonus Time at Boots, I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer. I've just checked their website, and couldn't see Boots mentioned at all for Bonus Time in November-December. I'm not sure though - maybe someone else knows differently?

anyways, thanks for the tip on the cream, will definitely pop in soon for some more- i am worrying if they are going to recognise me soon? the estee lauder SA in john lewis did!

i dont think i will need to buy any skincare product for a while. im truly happy!

the quality of the gift goes up with the quality of the store. the best gifts are always in harvey nickols in manchester and i imagine that harrods would get teh best in london. :)

  • hi I'm a newbie so I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place (it's not really a voucher) but just to let you know that Origins do free facials at the counter (obviously they hope that you buy the products). They don't really advertise this but you can book and I know in London High St Ken and Oxford St do them. I had one and it lasted for about half an hour and I got two teeny weeny samles at the end coz I asked. Hope it helps someone!
