  • I am an employee at Tesco and i just want to say a massive thank you for all the above information - I have alerted head office and will be monitoring this forum and e-mail out to all stores whenever there seems to be a pricing problem so that it can be recitified.

    This forum is complete abuse of the Tesco refund system so i must say THANK YOU once again for all the detailed information regarding refunds, clubcard scams etc, - I look forward to reading your messages and e-mailing action to take to all Tesco stores in the UK.

    Do your worst pal, by the time your mr bossman takes action we are already playing the x-box, whilst taking a call on an L6, eating nice lean organic fayre and quaffing the free champers.

    Great policy by the way.

    I have heard people saying something about in store scanners. What is all this about? Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I need to get all this sorted in my head before I go on a R+R spree!

    A lot of stores have scanners where you can scan an item to check the price, this will be the price the item goes through the till at, however WORKING scanners are getting hard to find as many are either disconnected or total removed by the store now. Scanners will only show prices of individual items not multi save of bogoff

    Ah great. Thanks for your quick reply.

    I am in Leeds at uni at the moment, and am thinking of getting the bus to the nearest Tesco (it's about 4 miles away apparently) - I would just go to Morrisons in town but with R+R on offer I think Tesco would be more exciting! Lol. I think it'd be a lot easier for me if my store had a scanner, would you recommend me ringing up and asking if they do? Or just hoping they do when I go there?

    Also, I am thinking of heading right to the meat section and looking for some mispriced items here. From what I have read I am to look for the price per KG on the SEL, then look for this on my individual item, and if it's more than what is on the SEL I am eligable for R+R? Excellent! I can hopefully stock right up!

    Hoping they have some good deals on ;)
  • Not a bad weekend.Got myself an L6 from the new Pollock store - oh the look on the managers face after me arguing for ages about the 10% discount (they had the posters stating that the 10% was already off the price daft !!!!!!!).He finally agreed to give me 10% then I said oh wait a minute do you not have a refund policy oh there it is on that poster! He said he didn't know about it, aye right!
    Also snaffled 2 fireproof safes from Cumbernauld at £20 each - think they were on here ages ago...So mr Tescos spy, after being on here for at least a month, how come Tesocs still can't help but overcharge on these?:beer:

    personally i wouldn't phone up and let them know i wanted to scan everything in store for an R+R and i wouldn't attempt to be too greedy to start with do that once you have a couple of little uns under your belt!
    coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there

    If you feel that using the R&R policy is abuse what do you describe Tescos behaviour by not correcting overprices when they become aware of them? This applies to stores that have already given one R&R on a misprice and then leave the erroneous price up so yet more people can claim one from them, as well as those that you have emailed.

    IMO you will get more replies on here from a single posting than you will from all the Tesco stores re your email ;-}

    Actually, it's "Invitation to Treat"...;)

    Or you could just look at the Tesco Scanner Location Thread.
    If your store isn't listed then you can have a hunt round for one (near the clothes bit is a good start) and then add to that thread.

    "recitified" - a new word coined by Tesco, perhaps?
