Thanks Guys.
I was not aware of this offer even though i'm a long time 3 for £30 NTL customer. I have just managed to get through and place my order. £10 per month, month on month contract, 300mins + 300text per month
pay virgin (not NTL), direct debit. Lobster 575( black, apparantly the pink is a bit childish) £2.99 delivery charge only. this will sort the daughters phone needs nicely.

bobdauilda wrote:Has anyone taken up this offer? I am an NTL customer and have a V3 mobile phone which I currently use on vodafone pay monthly costing £30 mth for 200 anytime mins and 200 texts. I would like the new motorola k1 but would be happy to stick with my v3 on the ntl tariff if it is 300 anytime xnet mins and texts!
I have just taken up this offer. Phone and 300 mins plus text for £10 per month. I didn't fancy the battle of another cashback deal. I'm unsure which Lobster phone will arrive.0 -
By taking the Lobster phone are you commiting yourself to a 12 month contract.0

Does the 300 text allowance include photo texts or are these extra? 30p a pic text is a bit steep if it is.Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Don't forget it comes with free up to 8MB ADSL broadband with a 6GB cap as well.0 -
I have just finally got through - must have taken me an hour  anyway I have a new Lobster phone due to be delivered to me tomorrow :T
Can I ask a quick question to anybody out there that knows about mobile phone contracts. I have just cancelled my T Mobile phone contract as I was just over the 12 month contract so that was ok and they gave me the PAC code. My question is, do I have to pay another month to T Mobile or will my contract end when the number is ported over to the Virgin phone ? Will T Mobile just charge me pro rata for the time that I had the number with them ?

i have taken up this offer as im on ntl and have been on Virgin PAYG for years. The lobster phone is a bit pants but its free, so ive just stuck the new sim in my old phone. I was told that i am only tied in for 1 month and i clarifed this on the phone when I accepted the Lobster (i went for black but you can have the pink). The chap on the other end, did say it was just like what they used to do with bundles - but you pay by direct debit. Orded yesterday arrived this mourning at 10am. The only thing I was a bit confused on is that i could not keep my old number with out getting a pact code and porting back in to Virgin (its the same network - why should it be a prob!?!), but I have put my old PAYG sim in the lobster while they port the number so i dont miss any calls.£2 Savers Club total 0 - Thank you Mrs lllnorrislll0

Thanks
The contract ends when the PAC code is applied and you should pay pro rata.
I called Tmobile a week or two after my number had been ported over to O2 and they told me I had £10 credit left over from my last direct debit which I asked to be recredited back to my bank....so maybe worth a call just to check its all sorted.Join the Sarcasm Appreciation Society.
