Good Luck at your interview Heidi, as another big girl I know how hard it is to have the confidence to go for these things.

Thank you so much for starting this thread because I'll admit I think twice about applying for jobs where I know there is a uniform because of exactly the question you asked :o

If you hate being fat so much why dont you just start going gym on a daily basis till you get down a to a normal size 8/10/12??

The poster has already stated that she leads an active life.

  • you must be alright for money to make a flippant comment like "go to the gym on a daily basis"
Also since when were 8 10 and 12 the only normal sizes.
Christina Hendricks from Mad Men is a size 14 and look how revered she is.
But in your eyes it seems only a size 8 10 or 12 is "normal"

All hail the brainwashed FHM generation!

Huge huge difference between having a normal level of activeness in your life,
and actually working out in the gym daily or a few times per week to make your body in good shape.

Yes. Because us fatties don't know what makes us fat. We just need someone to tell us. It's that simple. Thanks so much, that's really helpful.

Still, we can lose weight, but some people will always be rude.

Very good luck in your interview Heidi, I hope it goes well for you and you do yourself proud.

  • The store I work in (tesco) there are quite a few larger men and women working, never seen or heard of an issue, assuming you tick all the boxes it won't matter at all. The end of the day they want people with the right attitude, and if you do struggle there talk to your line manager and they will make adjustments to help you as best they can.

Congrats on the interview and good luck! :)

(Im not into over 25s so don't really sit around measuring them)

Seriously off topic, but I now have visions of somebody sitting around measuring a queue of 23-year-olds...

On topic - good luck OP!
