 Just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world HeidiHi. :)

When I used to be a barmaid and waitress I was a size 26. I was constantly on the move - upstairs to the office, downstairs to the cellar, in and out of the kitchen over and over again for hours - and all round the bar and large garden with plates of hot food and handling crates and barrels. It was a very physical job.

I always felt I was a lot stronger than most of the slips of things I worked with too! :D

We were on our feet for most of the day and half the night but I didn't really lose weight unfortunately - but that was medical so hopefully it will be different for you. :)

I don't know what your asthma is like but stress and cold are by far my biggest issues. My asthma has been pretty much equally bad for about 20 years and I've been a lot of different weights during that time. ;):D:eek:

I hope you let us know how you get on! :)

Exactly my plan, and what I've already done.

It really hacks me off that this is such a useful site, being progressively ruined by trolls and pathetic, sad bullies. ><
    On the up :D

I would ignore Ste C, I notice the longest word in his username is 3 letters so one would assume that his vocabulary doesn't extend beyond words of this magnitude! (In simpleton terms for you Ste C, that means you're as thick as two short planks stuck together with stupid glue!)

Oh dear. Have you seen your own username gaz?

    Go on, have another go.

I'm not turning this into a slanging match and diverting away from the purpose of the post! But, since you invited, you did well in managing to use a few basic 4 letter words this time around and an 8 letter word, 'username', which you obviously copied from my post so unfortunately I can't count that as you thinking it up on your own.

But, as I said, a few basic 4 letter words is a big improvement for you - next lesson, we learn to count past 5 using both hands and get you in your huggies pull-up pants - somebody's all grown up now aren't they?!

Back to the content of your original post, how is that productive really though in making the OP feel more confident in applying for a job? If you or someone in your family was overweight and somebody shouted that at them while you were there you would no doubt want to smack them! All I'm saying is try putting yourself in the OP's position before being so inconsiderate and making such childish comments!

Thank you for all the kind posts, I really appreciate them. This is just a quick update to say that I have an interview!! :j
That isn't a negative reamrk at all.
The OP described herself as 'fat'!

If the job is strenuous, with lifting boxes and pulling heavy cages, being very overweight is going to make it incredibly difficult.

(i assume size 28 is very overweight as i don't know about girly sizes)

I just wanted to reiterate that I am strong and fairly fit having always walked everywhere, done my own housework and that of elderly relatives, and carried shopping and children all my adult life. The school run alone has been 10 miles a day 9 months of the year for a decade and that's uphill most of the way back. Pushing a buggy loaded with kids and shopping uphill for years must have been a good training ground for this job I reckon. I don't anticipate any physical problems with the work at all. I do yoga regularly and paint my own toenails so I know I am supple as well as fit and strong.

When I described myself as fat I meant fat - not useless.
