We were meant to be on that very cruise, we'd decided to go anyway though with low expectations after reading others' opinions! However we chickened out at the start of the week after reading forecasts of gale force winds in the North sea. Glad we didn't go, not sure could have stood 2 28+ hour journeys in rough seas, plus although another day in Bergen might have been nice, we'd have spent more money, and lost our Travelodge accommodation booked for the Friday night, and probably our non-refundable train tickets for today. In the end we had a couple of days in Newcastle with our £26 Travelodge room, was tempted to go to the ferry port to see the ship come in, though seems like there was no ship to see!0 -

Yes, I used to love reading the horrific stories about this "cruise". I think quite a few people have been on and kept quiet or after reading the earlier reports decided against going.0 -
