I'm getting worried... OH's plane landed at 3.15, and I haven't heard from him. His phone isn't on, and clearly still thinks it is in Brazil (ringtone before voicemail gives it away), so I can only assume the battery ran out on the plane (what's the point in going business class if you don't use the power supply???). He has no keys, and I'm sure he should have been home by now... not sure what to do. What do those who have OH's who travel for work do about this? Should I be calling the emergency travel service to check that he actually got on to the plane???0

Greenbee - I probably would, but then I can be a bit of a worrier. I'm sure it'a a silly question, but have you allowed for delays along the way (customs, baggage collection, way home)? Don't know how close to the airport you are, but I'm sure you can easily lose 3 hours on a busy Friday evening. I'd maybe give it a bit longer, but I'd phone if it puts your mind at ease.0

don't know what to suggest GB but if you can check the manifest I would...as Mrs. C says 3 hours is not a long time.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Greenbee maybe ring the airline and check he boarded then he doesn't need to know you checked?

It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours from Heathrow to here... and he had no hold baggage (too lazy). However he was VERY tired when I spoke to him last night. I guess I'll give it a bit longer before I start getting people worried...Greenbee - I probably would, but then I can be a bit of a worrier. aj that is real progress - well done:TAnyway, I can get in the door, and walk along the side of the bed nearest the door. I have cleared half of the bed and put that stuff away in the rights places and then...I shut the wardrobe door REALLY quickly. I am not sorting inside things until I have somewhere to empty them to sort.
serena well done to your DS on getting the job:T
wise words from our valli - nothing less than expected of course:p
piggers - I have a better version I will send pm to you - gosh the wedding seems to have come round very quickly - have you organised what you are wearing?
helly well done - hope you are feeling more in control today (((hugs)))
PenPen hope you get it sorted and it doesnt cause you any more worry (((hugs)))
LameWolf at the risk of someone saying pot kettle black - dont be beating yourself up over the lists - you have done very well considering you are not firing on all cylinders - (((hugs)))
vanilla glad you sorted out the SW - hope its nothing serious with DS - thank goodness the teacher is keeping an eye on him and told you. (((hugs))) you are an inspiration how you keep it all together.
MrsChaos hope you have a great weekend - posh frock time too!:D re the mattress - not sure what the others use - upholstery cleaner / star drops? one tip I did get before and it works - once you have cleaned the area - turn the mattress over and put a thick old towel on the base where the damp bit will be and leave it under there until the next day and it absorbs the moisture - or lift up and check - if the towell is very damp replace until you get it dry - at least you can carry on using the mattress.
greenbee I would first check at the arrivals and see if the plane has been delayed - maybe check the route he would use home - maybe delays there too. Try not to worry until there is something definate to worry about IYSWIM (((hugs)))

Pen
would I have driven past that power station recently?
Possibly
More likely this one though
What do those who have OH's who travel for work do about this? Should I be calling the emergency travel service to check that he actually got on to the plane???
My DH is away so often, I no longer worry
In your situation, I'd try to ring the airline and see if you can get5 a message to him. Bet he'll be home soon. Enjoy :kisses2:Sorry to be a pain, but I could really do with some advice re wee on the mattress. Got to sort it soon so it can dry before bedtime. Thanks.

That's OK then!
You'll be busy 'welcoming' him then.
Mrs C - not a clue, sorry.
You could try a wet/dry hoover on it...Or bang it with a towel to take the damp out.
