Toots hun, hoping today is a better day for you sweetie but remember you're allowed a meltdown every now and then just to get rid of all those building thoughts and feelings and release them through a shout, a scream, some tears however they need to come out.

You have every right to have moments like this, just get it out of your system whichever way you can because I know with your generous heart, your amazing fighting spirit and your caring, kind and positive outlook you'll dust off and keep on going.

    Thinking of you LOTS. xxxx

Toots - massive big hugs and stripy licks and waggy tails for you xxxx
Tiredand - big hugs for you too. It's so hard when things aren't good for our children. I hope your son is much happier very soon xxx
The shuffs - welcome to the thread. They're a mad lot on here (wheras I am completly sane!) but they're all very friendly.
Smartie - Daisy is ADORABLE!!! Congratulations.
Pollybear - hugs to you xx

List for Monday and Tuesday completed. I've not even looked at today's list yet. Had a late night last night laminating flash cards for DD's french vocab. Bless her, she was trying to learn them and then said it was so much easier when I used to make flash cards for her in infants and could I make some now. She then learnt them in no time.

DS has decided he wants to be a Victorian reformer when he grows up :rotfl:.

Stripes wants to be a cat when she grows up.

I want to sleep when I grow up:D.

Right, work, then a massage for me :j, then DS wants me to help him find some information on Victorian reformers!

Catch up with you later, hugs to everyone xx

Tired today...(surprise), need to collect my parcel so best get going. Have tons to do, also work laptop appears to have a knackered fan so keeps switching off, better get that fixed.

Does anyone have any ideas what to do for an 18th birthday do for my DD1....she doesn't want a meal, a party or a surprise...I'm stuck which is unlike me.

I may just bung her some money or perhaps pay for her to do something but what kind of something I dunno. Help.

    Morning everyone

Triker - What about tickets to see her favourite group, or singer? Or if she's sporty to see her favourite sport?

My DF who lost her baby is having a terrible time. Her Mum passed away last night. She's getting married in 2 1/2 weeks time and is feeling so very low.

DS1 was feeling poorly this morning and I had to shoehorn him out the door to catch the expensive bus. I don't think he is eating enough. He won't eat breakfast in the morning and the canteen has been so packed he's only eaten the snack I made him for elevensies for the last two days. his stomach has shrunk by dinner at 6.30 so he's not got enough calories to get him through the day.

Right.... the ironing mountain needs attention

How about a spa day? Then other family could give her vouchers for treatments. We took a friend for her birthday - day was £60ish and you got full use of the facilities and then treatments like massages, manicures were extra (friend was 40 and we couldn't let her go all alone could we! lol). 18th birthday is a special day afterall. There are lots of places around that do them.

Depends on how much cash you want to splash and what she likes doing - but there are balloon flights, limos to take her on a night out, special piece of jewellery, Photoshoot experience (http://www.treatmonster.com/pampering-wedding-gifts/1313-makeover-a-photoshoot-for-one.html) or a make up lesson.
