Not at all, if he's selling it, he should have had full training on it - I think that is part of FSA(?) regulations...plus you'd hope that people know what they're talking about. If I didn't know the ins and outs of it, and was told that I could take it out and claim after two weeks, I'd do the same.

There are two types of cover, Club & Premier Club. The Premier Club has the loan laptop, and also 10-day max repair time. Club has no loan and a 28-day max repair time. I presume there's some confusion on which you have...a quick look at the documents will say for sure. Personally, I'd speak to the store manager about the fact that the person was selling WEH without any training, and advised you to do something that breaches the T&Cs, and is tantamount to fraud.

    Hi steve and kayla :)

I'm going to split your post off into a thread of its own in the hopes that it will be easier for people to spot.

Watch for:- Currys coverplan laptop faulty

    Good luck :)

    HELP !!!!
RE: our last post about missold coverplan insurance,we were given £50 compensation, this was after we emailed the MD directly .

this laptop is now in need of yet another repair.

there was a person on here who sent me,in a private message, the MD email address, PLEASE can you send me this email again.

we have tried to sort this out in a reasonable way, explaining that our Daughter suffers with auto thyroid immune disease, this makes the sufferers brain slower than someone who does not suffer it,despite this,Our Daughter is sitting A levels & has 3 offers from universities & this would have been so much harder,if not impossible without a laptop.
The MD of currys, coverplan is aware of this.

it was explained to the operator today (17/03/11) it was like speaking with a robot.

CURRYS/COVERPLAN. IF YOU EVER READ THESE POSTS PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS ONE

ALL we & our Daughter want is a laptop that WORKS,so our Daughter can go to university, where she hopes & CAN,with hard work, train to become a counsellor, our Daughter has been offered sponsorship by the Royal Navy to become a Doctor, dont ask me what sort,i cannot remember, but its to do with counciling & she will be able to help service people who are suffering from combat stress & other problems she wants to HELP PEOPLE,CURRYS, PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING,HELP HER TO HELP OTHERS

we have now sent a copy of this post to the person who sent us the £50 compensation at KnowHow.com.
heres hoping that he actually reads it & acts in a positive way.

    Hi,

It was me who moved your post into a thread of it's own.

And it was me who made the mistake of callng it Comet instead of Currys. (now corrected) Sorry.

Gordikin kindly pointed out my error and I've put the names right.

    :)

    No problem.

As you see, we all make mistakes. What matters most is how we put them right :)

The whole Comet/Currys complaints thing has been turned into a difficult to follow mess. Maybe the BG should count to 10 before acting. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to.
