The reason I ask is they're so much cheaper than anywhere else and they don't seem to last, about a year ago I bought a pair of airwalk skate shoes, they got very light wear and lasted less than a year (soles coming away from the upper and a hole in the sole), but I liked the style and design so I bought another pair, these have been getting slightly heavier use, but are showing signs of wear already (they're only a month old!).
I wouldn't be surprised. I bought a Karrimor rucksac from them a couple of years ago. It appeared to be marked down a lot but I was very gullible and thought it was a real sale. After a couple of weeks, it started coming apart at a seam. It looked like it had been sewn to close to the edge. They wouldn't give me a refund but gave me a replacement. After a couple of weeks the same thing happened again. I didn't bother going back this time and just wrote it off to experience. I certainly won't be shopping there again, or buying another Karrimor product.
Karrimor is a Sports Direct brand and I wondered if they were using their stores as a dumping ground for reject goods;) Karrimor used to make good stuff but they went bust and Astley bought the brand. These were certainly nothing like the quality of the old ones and I would have thought they were fakes but for the fact that Sports Direct own the brand (so they couldn't be fake, could they?)0 -
they have to by law but they refuse to. Head office can only be reached by email "Tried calling only to be told to email me"
when they emailed me this is what they said
I have done that. However it is not satisfactory and i added that if a refund or exchange is not given i will be placing this matter before a judge.
I will to just to show them that they cant treat people this way
I'd have insisted that the area manager contact me to make an appointment to meet me in the store and in the meantime keep possession of the shoes. Give them the evidence and what proof do you have left to produce in the county court?0
