staff i worked with were honest when serving other colleagues and didnt cheat it

you quoted my reply about fast track, if 3 items were scanned using fast track and you said oh ive used 9 bags, i think the checkout operator would query it

It is, it's naive and completely misjudged but then I guess the same thing applies to making private phone calls or taking post-it notes home. For what it's worth I hope the OP isn't dismissed over this but more than that I hope they learn a lesson from it. Not just the obvious one but more about work relationships and taking responsibility for your actions.

It may well do but don't give the OP ideas about including even more irrelevances.

Yes, that's the point. You think they would.

But there are no checks in place to verify any of this. What if they were mates and splitting the difference?

I've never used it because I've always thought it was insane....but having the staff use it and letting other staff turn a blind eye is ludicrous.
