  • no offence but your really stupid... and anyways if you got sacked then its at your own fault!, when you started work you have a duty to read the rules that are given to you when given to you by the workers at the work place, you also have a duty to follow the rules, and analyse your behaviour at the work placement, which clearly you haven't done.

so in all honesty you deserve it.

I am very ashamed on what I have done. I didn't know the seriousness of my actions. I have learnt my lessons. I have done wrong. I do apologise for what I have done. No-one is 100% perfect.

I will destroy my loyalty card regardless of the outcome!

It's not about the loyalty card though - it's about trust!

So you are not going to try to mitigate your actions by some silly excuses?

  • anyways if i was you i would contact the manager and offer him an apology, it may not sound easy but its for the best, and guess what you might not even loss your job, if you do, as least he or she will have something good to say about you.... your honest, you can tell your manager that others were involved... but just don't give out names!

If you say the bit I have emboldened then that is the best you can do at any meeting DO NOT say "No-one is 100% perfect"

    So I'm confused now!

Jumpy - are you saying that you are trained to supervise on these self service tills, but that your eye problem prevents you from using them properly as you are likely to press wrong buttons on them?

And if you are the only person who is trained to supervise, then are these checkouts closed down when you are not at work, due to there being no one else capable of supervising them?

Or do you work every hour that the store is open, every day it is open?

Is Jumpy the first name in J Sainsbury's? :D

It will. it implies that everyone is at it. Which they may or may not be; but that's not the point!

It also implies that the boss themselves aren't perfect; which they aren't but at this point, they are not facing dismissal so it would be best to just admit it and apologise and hope for the best.

Any one of these excuses, will result in the boss wiping the floor with the OP and it being a whole lot worse.
