Did my final mock up of my sweet table with sweets except the Mikado as I thought they might go stale if i opened them, what do you think? (sorry for the huge pics)

This is AMAZING!!! I love the different shapes of the some of the vases, and the flowers really complete the look.

What did you use for the platform at the back? I will need to do something like this as I don't like the idea of people leaning right over as they might knock something over so would be more practical if the bits at the back are raised.

Ive got a cuttle bug machine which you put the dies through, and I used glittered card. When are you getting married? I may be able to sort you some out if its after November, I'm too busy before then to help out Im afraid.

I bought 2 more sweet jars from the Range yesterday to go on the table, like the two lidded jars in the centre but not as tall. The table in the venue will be a rectangle table so I'm worried that it'll be bigger than my trial one which was on my dining room table! I also have another round bowl like the ones at the front with mint imperials in but it didnt fit on my table. I got toffee bon bons for one jar but not sure what to put in the other, any suggestions?

Also the venue table cloth will be white and ironed- unlike mine was!

For the raised part i actually took apart my end tables and stacked the top parts ontop of each other, but my FIL2B is making me a 'winners podium' type structure out of MDF so I dont have to use my table tops!

I'm going to ask the venue to re fill it during dinner as I overbought way too much on all the sweets.

Curious George, I love the lights on the table never seen that done before :T

    Thanks,
we had purple satin as a table cloth, then put 2 sets of battery operated fairy lights on it, then covered that with ivory organza that was studded with diamontes, then arranged the jars.

all the fabric was purchased from The Range, and the cheapest battery fairy lights were found on ebay xxx

Now I wasn't going to have a candy buffet but Twinks photos have really inspired mE. I am now thinking of having a sort of sweet n savoury buffet with a mixture of sweets and nuts etc set up for the guests to help themselves to throughout the day.

Possibly will have to put it past H2B first!

sharpee nuts is a brilliant idea! Didn't think of that and h2b loves the nuts with the fruit in. May do one of those!

I did a mock up of my table this afternoon

What do you think? I need one more jar to go on the right hand side but I'm thinking I'm done now and all for under a tenner! The basket on the left will have my bags in, the one on the right scoops and tongs and at the back I'll have a frame with a little poem.
The sign at the front says All You Need is Love :)

I've also worked out how much each container can hold so I can price it up.

I'm going to have to think about containers now. My future Mother in Law is a car boot nut so I might see if I can tag along with her and see what we can find!

Plus I've been feeling guilty as I never hang out with her. Not because I don't want to but my H2B doesn't like going round to hers as he always gets roped into doing some DIY!
