Yeah I'm not sure about matched betting, I have read that thread a few times and still don't quite understand... I might try it out nearer the end of the challenge, but I agree with you about not doing it because of the addictiveness of it.

Robbing a bank may get you in serious trouble though...

Its fab that you recognise that though and don't put yourself in that position!

You seem to have a talent for ebay so you don't need matched betting! :T
    Thank you

I will have a butchers and see if the charity shop is open again tomorrow, have a cold so don't think wandering about in the freezing cold will do me much good :o

but have a couple of freebies off an ex which can be listed

    and

picked up a couple of CDs at Cat's Protection in Kings Heath (was meant to be 50p each, but paid them a £1 each) and both should make me money:p

yippeee. convincd my other half to play the £2.00 free bingo at closer and we just came away with £46.74 profit. not bad for a night. iv now broken the £100 barrier. im so excited yippeee. we decided to do this challenge together so im going to start match betting as he already has some funds in betfair so we wont count them but it does mean we can maximise our profits for this challenge till i can get my own betfair account with a decent amount in. if that makes sense.

and i thought i was in for a night of just pass the parcel and lucky bag making.

iv decided i dont think ill be quiting on this challenge either at the end of 11 weeks i want to see how far i can get although i will be taking some out for my cruise money.

    :rotfl: :T  :j
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed

Kath- that is just too spooky about the £1024. It was obviously meant to be!

Benedict- I agree, you don't need matched betting as your eBaying is brilliant. I'm still impressed by the coffee table!

MissMuppet- I honestly don't think matched betting made complete sense to me until I actually did one to see what happened. I'm taking it very slowly as I'm a bit of a worrier and not as brave as some people but if you do decide to go for it they're really friendly and helpful on the other board so you shouldn't worry about having to understand it all on your own :D

  • Gosh we are all keeping so busy & doing well. I have found that when I relist on ebay items seem to sell 2nd time round, this week 2 videos which were relisted had ppl starting a bidding war on them, yet the week before not even a watcher. I've had 2 successful bootie items sell so really chuffed with about 1000% profit.
Olympic bronze challenge-started 7/1/06-total so far is £194.30

I am tempted to keep going as it would only need another 10 week of sucessfully doubling to get to a million.

However to be able to double £500,000 in a week would take a lot of nerve

Or i might start again on 1st January and make £1024 again (or thats the aim)

I tried the Closer bingo thing earlier with my free £5... I won nothing! :( It's all luck at the end of the day, not going to add any funds because that could become addictive!

    Hello everyone

Just wanted to post and say how well you are all doing. I haven't abandoned the challenge and sorry I haven't been around recently. I've had a really nasty chest infection and have been nursing myself better (with the help of some strong antibiotics!! :p ).

I've got the hospital tomorrow so if I get the all clear then I'm going to get stuck in again. :j
