Hi
Just made another 15 pounds on ebay so my total is up to 25 pounds, i have a few more things to list, and also the stuff that did not sell.

Another quick questions. I started last night and have 56p. I went to my daugthers preschool fair today and picked up some things to sell on ebay and spent 40p. So does that mean my total so far is still 56p or does it go down to 16p.
I'm presuming that its 56p unless I'm unable to sell them and so make a loss in which case I'll have to take that out of the 56p or whatever my total is at the time....does that sound about right??
Thats for the info on ebay soolin, didn't know you could do that. Just checked three of the books I picked up to sell though mmmm lots of red doh!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

It is tricky to know what your total is, personally I tend to take off the amount i've spent because then i'm left with the figure I've still got to spend (if you see what I mean) but for the purposes of your signature the 56p might be nicer!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. I've been deducting what I've spent from my total too - it makes it easier to see where you are coz then when you sell what you've bought you can just add the whole sale amount. I've put it all on a spreadsheet now so it does it for me.
The 3 ebay items I'd listed for the challenge last Sat haven't sold despite 2 having watchers - not to worry have listed some more. When something doesn't sell do people relist and pay more fees with the risk that it won't sell again?JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -

The watchers are probably fellow dfws if you've included the 'code'!!
I do relist if I think something should have sold... judging by the past sales of similar items. If its a really cheap item though sometimes relisting might not be worth it. Don't forget... use the relist function (rather than redoing the whole 'sell your item' process) and you'll get the listing fees refunded if it sells the second time! :T Its also an opportunity to reduce the starting price or improve the title/description if it needs it.Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. I have a story for you fellow challengers..... sorry it's a bit long! ....
As part of this challenge I have taken up matched betting, and started with the bookie SportingOdds. After placing bets there etc I got an email offering a free £10 bonus in the casino... no deposit required... and if you wagered it through £10 you could withdraw what was left! :T
Ok, says I, its worth a try!! So I was merrily playing slot machines at 10p a time with my free credit when I won and the total went up to £60!!! At that point I'd wagered about £25 worth (slot machines are quite good for wagering requirements I find) so I thought I might manage the £100 wagering and have something left to withdraw!
But nothing is ever that simple... is it?!
Just before I got to my £100 wagering I received, completely unrequested, another £50 bonus... this time with a 20 times wagering requirement!! I spoke to them on the phone and apparently this is given to all new players once they play a certain amount... even though I hadn't deposited any money! I wasn't allowed to cancel that bonus without removing my whole balance so now I had to wager another £1000 in order to withdraw!!
But... as you guys know.... anything in pursuit of free money hey!!!
So... with my balance of £120 (I know... I could have had £70 if not for their silly bonus! ) I set out to play through £1000 :rotfl: I'm up to about £300 so far and still going strong, balance of about £70! Anyway.... logged in yesterday to find another £25 added to my account.... phoned them and low and behold it was another bonus!
Both I and the guy on the phone were peeing ourselves by now... me saying 'I'm never going to get anything out of this am I?' and him saying 'well, you're doing quite well so far!' :rotfl: Turns out the system is not really set up for anything other than people just losing their bonuses.... although the cynic in me says its a deliberate attempt to make me give up!
Anyway.... punchline soon, don't worry.... I asked him how much I now needed to wager before I could withdraw....
...... and his answer?
...... £1024!!!!
:rotfl:
Too much of a coincidence really... it must be a sign!
If I'm not around much its cos I'm dying of boredom playing 10p slots on SportingOdds casino!! :rotfl:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. I tend not to relist and waste a second set of fees. You have 60 days to relist so I tend to wait until there is a cheap llisting day and relist then. However, if I had a lot of watchers on an unsold item I might relist at a lower price in case it was the price that put them off the first time.
If you do relist though and it sells on the second attempt you get the second set of basic listing fees back.
