I keep thinking I shouldn't need mine just yet, but my head and eyes are telling me it's definitely time.
I don't think having a Christmas spreadsheet is sad at all! In the world according to Sal, it shows exemplary organisational skills!

Bought 2 tins of Cadbury Dairy Milk biscuits in Tesco yesterday for DD & DS and their families.
On offer at £5.00 each. Best bit though is that I paid for them with Luncheon Vouchers that I had got from Pinecone for doing surveys so completely free to me as no 'real' money used!0 -
Asda, which is always good for a bargain, had 2 big thingy's of choc. Celebrations, Heroes and the like for a fiver I think.0

Hmm I'm not excited about Christmas yet. So haven't done any preperation yet - well I converted survey money to amazon vouchers for presents, that's it.
I might even be taking a job working over Christmas! (havent decided whether to take it or not, depends on pay I guess).
I know once the coca cola ad comes on I'm going to be all excited. I don't even know what the plans are for Christmas yet, don't know where I'm spending it. My mums going to be away, sister is going to her inlaws, my dad had had a heart attack and is waiting for an operation, and he lives in Hull, I'm in London, so not sure if he'll be up for travelling to family in Northants. No idea!
I do know I'm going to have a cheap Christmas this year. I'll have an early Christmas dinner with housemates though. Probably wont do Christmas cards, as I think cards are a waste of money! I wont be buying chocolates, as I'm trying to keep an eye on my weight and we already have plenty of wine. The only thing I'll be spending money on is a bit for presents (tenner each to family or something) and travel to wherever I'm having Christmas.
It seems like such a long time away - maybe cause I've just been on holiday in Rome and it felt like Summer there lol0 -
have bought loads of booze - our local Somerfield closed down & had silly reductions, crisps & my daughters presents are nearly finished, alos bought Mother in law a jigsaw from a charity shop (lol)proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

Stocked up on tins, jars and `special` foods that we don`t normally buy any other time of year, plus treats (even though it`s hard to resist opening them now!
)
I`ll keep adding to it every time I shop...few tins here, extra jar or so, stuff in the freezer. I find it easier (and if feels cheaper, somehow) to add to the Yule store that way, instead of leaving it til the last minute and doing a large Yule shop."Ignore the eejits...it saves your blood pressure and drives `em nuts!"

triker if you could put that chocolate indifference in a jar and sell it you'd be in the Caribbean EVERY Christmas you'd be so rich..:D
We're going away for Christmas, third year in a row. Some people would hate it but we love it, so no, we're not stocking up. One of the things I disliked about Christmas and New Year at home was the pressure to stock up in case you ended up with more visitors than you had foreseen, but inevitable the food gets left over and so we'd end up eating it ourselves or taking the tins of chocolate into work where everyone would groan "not another tin of sweets"
I think our Crimbo hols will continue for as many years as we can afford them.;) That's our presents sorted too, as we don't buy anything for each other apart from maybe a little something to open on the day.;)
DD is 11 so still gets pressies, the kids of the extended family still get a present too, but we stopped sending gifts to adults a lot of years ago.;)
The best christmas ever would be if they all came on holiday with us... sadly they can't afford it this year, and we ain't that rich. One of those years though...
We went away a couple of years ago with the whole family for Christmas , it was great , we normally go away a few days after Christmas ( just the 2 of us )
Stocking up for Christmas? .......no its just 1 day a year , so it will be a slightly fancier roast , and maybe a few chocolates / biscuits for visitors , but certainly not wasting money , or more importantly my precious time and sanity ( lol ) in worrying too much about itVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
I have started:)
Got the Morrisons tins of chocs a couple of weeks back, ingredients for cake and mincepies, also got crackers from Asda @ £3 for a huge box.
Kids pressies are slowly appearing in my wardrobe. Got cards in Jan sales.
Also, Asda have got their gammon joints on offer at half price,I got 2 today for the freezer:T0
