Yep, i've got a large tin of quality street, a box of mcvites choccie biccies, a big box of jacobs crackers (last 2 on offer in asda £3 each) and my favourite a tin of scottish shortbread (yummy). I figure if i buy a wee bit each week it won't be so hard on the pocket nearer christmas0

Ive started everywhere - homebargains has great offers on sweets and drinks - beer and wine is especially cheap. Any sales I see in Tesco and morrisons I grab them and stash them in my xmas cupboard. This year everyone is getting a goodybag - e.g. socks, bubblebath, necklaces n earrings - tesco sale!Total debt £17,135 total paid off £5250

My view on this is,as long as i have fresh veg and meat for my xmas dinner, fresh soup and a tunis cake - im happy. The shops are only closed for 2 days :S. I dont like xmas cakes/mince pies and im lactose intolerant

Trouble is we don't really like chocolate, we still had tins left over last year...in fact I've just binned my thorntons easter egg which was sat on the cupboard from earlier this year.:o
.
triker if you could put that chocolate indifference in a jar and sell it you'd be in the Caribbean EVERY Christmas you'd be so rich..:D
We're going away for Christmas, third year in a row. Some people would hate it but we love it, so no, we're not stocking up. One of the things I disliked about Christmas and New Year at home was the pressure to stock up in case you ended up with more visitors than you had foreseen, but inevitable the food gets left over and so we'd end up eating it ourselves or taking the tins of chocolate into work where everyone would groan "not another tin of sweets"
I think our Crimbo hols will continue for as many years as we can afford them.;) That's our presents sorted too, as we don't buy anything for each other apart from maybe a little something to open on the day.;)
DD is 11 so still gets pressies, the kids of the extended family still get a present too, but we stopped sending gifts to adults a lot of years ago.;)
The best christmas ever would be if they all came on holiday with us... sadly they can't afford it this year, and we ain't that rich. One of those years though...Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

But I have to admit that I have done all my Christmas gifts for everyone but my son... I just have to bake cookies and cakes... Make 10 Calendars, which will be made during the October half term.
I've even got all my Christmas cards ready!
Everyone who knows how organised I am calls me sad!!!

I try to get myself organised in advance each year. I have SAD and so it's best for me to plan ahead before the bad weather sets in... doesn't that sound depressing

I have enough wrapping paper left from last year. I will start to make my cards soon - only send to the people I really care about so that cuts down the number! I've set up my xmas spreadsheet (yes, I'm that sad!) and bought some of the boys presents. 2 of my kids have b'day 5 weeks before Xmas and I'm pretty sorted out for that.
Got a shopping day planned for next week where I hope to get nearly all my presents bought.

Got the chocs (Celebrations are my life lol) and most of my families gifts, but Christmas dinner wise I am still looking for a good meat supplier. I would like to spice christmas up a bit this year, so if anyone knows of any christmas hamper offers please let me know
