    hi all ,

i was starting to make the claim for ppi against Welcome Finance.
Phoned my local branch on friday for a copy of my credit agreement from them, an i got it from them this morning, very next day lol..

what would be my next steps to claiming my ppi back which totals £2516.54 ??

    thanks for any help

Hi and welcome, wow that was quick, well done.:T

Right with whatever reasons you have for being mis sold the ppi, you just complete the reclaiming questionnaire, keep a copy in case you need to refer to it at some point, they have 8 weeks in full to give a response/decison, they may ask for more time, but that is okay just as long as you know where you are.
    You will find the questionnaire here on stage one of reclaiming;
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim

You send to whoever set up and sold you the policy from the start.

Please note this questionnaire replaced the first template letter on this site, although, you can write a cover letter if you want to, to enclose with the questionnaire - that is up to you of course.

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)

Hello there! Here are two words of advice when dealing with welcome finance: be patient. My experience, and from what I gather from others on MSE forums, is that they generally do take the full 8 weeks to come to a decision, but don't give up hope. Also, make sure you send the paperwork to the complaints department, and not the local branch. That was my mistake!

Good luck and I hope you get what is your's :)

    Edit: here's the address

    Welcome Financial Services
    Customer Complaints Department
    Mere Way
    Ruddington Fields Business Park
    Ruddington
    Nottingham
    NG11 6NZ

PPI reclaimed: Halifax £2300, Welcome Finance - £2400
  • will print of the letter an get it sent away , would be nice to get my money back just in time for x-mas

Still nothing for me. Going to send them my daily acceptance again by fax!!!!

    7 Working days so far!!!

Hi Simon, any luck today? Still nothing here :(

Edit: just called them, they rec'd my acceptance form on the 15th, and they sent the payment on the 20th and said it will take 10 working days from then. So not only do I have to wait extra 5 weeks because I sent it to the branch first (they lost it) I have to wait 5 days longer than I should because they can't get off their a**e and do their job properly. When I asked why a baca payment takes 10 days when it should take 3, they said its because they are not a bank. I told her neither is my payroll department at work but they still manage it in 3 days. She said that's just the procedure that they follow and she can't say any more than that

Needless to say, I am absolutely fuming with rage. And also still skint

No nothing through as yet Chris. Been faxing through each day. Might give them a call. Would like mine to come through soon as i'm skint too. It is crap that they are taking 10 working days from payment. The 10 days should be from date of acceptance!!!
  • Just called them. They've advised it should be in my account tomorrow. That would be 10 working days from the date i first faxed it over to them. Still too long for this but at least nearly at the end of the road now.

Fingers crossed for you too Chris. Keep your chin up. Nearly there now!!!

  • Thanks guys, hopefully mine will be in tomorrow too. Did a search for bacs payments and the official bacs website doesn't say anything about a 10 day transfer. Welcome finance will tell us any old BS to get us off the phone. And if I spoke to my customers the way she spoke to me on the phone, I'd be in the jobcentre tomorrow

I can not contain myself! Excitement is all over me! I looked on my online bank while half asleep this morning (girlfriend woke me) and I shot out of bed! Not only have they paid me, but paid an extra £100 into it! Thanks for all your help, Lisa, Simon, Tufters and Di, and of course Martin, without this website, this wouldn't have been possible!

PS Madrave - I wish you the best of luck and hope you get a good result:beer:
