  • Well done :T

I also after a long slog have recieved a positive final response offering me £4747.88 & a £121 reduction a month on my current loan which I am due to pay off in Feb 2011

However they are not keeping up to the 10 day working days to issue payment that they advised both in the final response & on the answer phone message when you telephone the complaints number. The keep saying that they are really busy & it is 10 days after the cancel & rebook & that it could take a further 8 weeks.... I am really P*SSED OFF with them now, I made my complaint 6 months ago

I actually sent my forms away originally at the end of May to my local branch but when I chased it up they had lost the forms. So I sent them again to the branch and they forwarded them on to the complaints department on the 16th July.

I got a letter when the 8 weeks was nearly up asking for another 4 weeks to look in to the complaint. Last Wednesday (8th) was the 4 week deadine and that's when I gave them a call and they told me about the letter coming out (2nd class post, mind!).

So I'm waiting patiently as possible on the letter and like tufters01 I'll be sending it special delivery with a convoy of armed guards back them.

Once I see the cash in my bank account then I will start celebrating ;)

Fingers crossed for you then.......am awaiting to hear your outcome, good luck.:)

6 months actually ain`t that long mine was over a year. I have had 2 payments from welcome so far one for £5268.59 and one for £763.87 they were from closed accounts from 2003 i still have 1 payment to receive for a cancel and rebook which has been back with them for 3 weeks so should be soon enough in coming through for round about £2000.

So all in all around £8000 pound :T

Same thing happened to me, seems the branch put PPI claims in the inbox labelled "shredder". Contacted the complaints dept after 5 weeks to be told they hadn't received anything so sent everything again mid July. Good news though, got a reply today, upheld with a breakdown of compensation, and a BACS form to fill in! Will send it tomorrow first thing, recorded next day delivery. If I had the time I would drive down and hand it to them myself and watch them transfer the money! If only...

Best of luck to anyone claiming PPI
    Debts remaining: £0/£16000
PPI reclaimed: Halifax £2300, Welcome Finance - £2400
