Spag Bol always tastes nicer the longer it has to cook in my opinion. The darker and thicker it is the better0

In response to Evil Olive - guess by now you are familiar with your S.C. but I could email you some pages from the Instruction/Recipe book if you were interested.0

I just did a big batch of beef casserole with some YS diced beef I froze. Will it be safe to freeze in portions and reheat? Also, I have used those tip and pour zip lock bags designed for soup, will I be able to dishwasher them and reuse? Be a shame to throw after one use

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.0 -

Not sure about your bags.
I use those oblong plastic containers with lids that you get Chinese/Indian takeaways in.
I put them in the freezer, take them out once they're frozen and they just flip out of the container.
I then bag them up in Tesco value food/freezer bags and wash the containers out ready for reuse.0 -
I freeze raw meat, cook it in the slow cooker and refreeze it in portions. Got some in the slow cooker right now, will make 4 portions so 2 for tonight and 2 for the freezer. I took the raw beef out of the frezer yeaterday.

Thanks Pollycat. So no issues reheating then. Will maybe need to just try it washing a bag and hope for the best.CC limits £26000

Well the casserole was a total triumph after being frozen and reheated. As far as the washing of the bags goes....disaster. Wont waste money on those again.

The retanguar plastic containers with clip on lids used on takeaways we find are the best to use.
With care they last quite a long time.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Hi all I have a 2.1kg beef roasting joint that I want to have for dinner tomorrow afternoon. Thinking of bunging it in the slow cooker on top of a few chopped onions and carrots and putting it on low for convenience. How long would I need to cook it for? Would 8 hours be too much/little? It'd be great if I could put it on going to bed tonight and have it ready in the morning0
