There is a voucher on the discount and coupon thread for £1 off Salca Pasta sauce which is currently 99p in Morrisons, so free pasta sauce to go with your pasta. Also a coupon for free campbells condensed soup which is sold in tescos and sainsburys. HTHs :beer:I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Hi everyone, not posted for a while but been following you all
Some may remember i bought an electric blanket a while ago, well unfortunately its supposed to be a double but it doesn't sit under the sheet big enough so the wire is uncomfortable running onto the mattress. On the instructions it says it can be used as a heated over blanket too, so if i cut the strings off it would it be ok to use on my sofa etc when its cold? TIAMummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas:xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2:

Hello folks!!
Well I have been busy cleaning out my kitchen cupboards ready for winter stock up. So went to L**ls yesterday... they must be clearing their shelves for Christmas as lots of empty spaces!! But I got 40 toilet rolls..and when DH came home last night he wondered what was going on!!! and laughed when I told him it was this forums fault!
Still got some more stuff to get, freezing this morning here!!!! brrr and its only September!!Married 9th June 2011 my wonderful soulmate, Im so blessed! :T0 -
We have a gorgeous sunny autumn day here so i've put a big load of washing on so I can get it dry outside:)Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0

Morning,
Beautiful and sunny here but some nip in the air too! Had to go to get blood taken this morn and not duue into work until later so have used the time to continue with prepping.
Got old fleece & raincoat in WM, going to spray raincoat with proofer from L*dl. No idea if any good but it's just as gardening jacket so not fussed.
Got most of blankets and linen washed so making good progress there. Bought fleece welly liners on eBay this morn. There is an abundance of deicer and folding shovels on there which is really tempting me.
OH is being v.helpful and currently clearing the weeds in garden and doing a general tidy. Grass needs cut but still too bl**dy wet to get mower out.
Heard advert on radio this morn that Mr S is promoting 'eating well, cheaply' or something like that. They should get themselves on here and see that most of are doing that already.Lol!
Freezer coming tomorrow; so excited to start batch cooking with gusto. Still got cooking apples to slice and freeze.
Hope everyone is warm and ok today. Keep on prepping!0 -
The snow shovels have arrived!!! Three shiny red ones
I posted yesterday that I was thinking of wrapping them up for the 3 DSs as a Cword gift and would that be mean
Then I was told it would have to be a very early gift as we are expecting snow way before Dec/Cword
I am amazed how many people I know have already got their heating on. What are they going to do when it gets really cold??? I always see if I can hang on until November but can not remember if I managed last year or not
Nearly ready I think. just a few bits to do. De icer for the car, I only buy as an emergency can for the car when I am out as I find warm water quicker/easier and I have got blankets from jumbles to cover the window screen. I need to hang the door curtain at the back door (front is done) but the kitties are a little young and they will be climbing up it :rotfl: so trying to hang on as long as poss. Need to bulk buy cat food.0 -
Bit nervous (ok overwhelmingly nervous) about my first meeting back at work this afternoon so not doing much prep this morning. Have had moisture on bedroom windows for a couple of weeks now, but pleased to report that bowls of salt do seem to help (although still overwhelmed). Its nice and sunny here today, and looks like it might get quite warm so have all of the curtains in the lounged pushed back as far as possible to get that solar heat in.0

I've been saving up all year for xmas into a little tin. checked it today and theres £156.39 in it! I already have a frozen turkey crown, frozen pork shoulder and a xmas pudding. I have made mincemeat and have the makings of a cake so people might get gifts this year. We dont normally give gifts. or I think I will split it into gifts and save half for helping out in January when DH pay has to last for 7 or 8 weeks, as he gets paid at the end of the month but in Dec they pay him mid month.0
