I feel your pain, my DH defrosted a whole pack of buns earlier, because we need ONE for DS's packed lunch tomorrow... I got a little cross with him about it, as food waste is something I hate, and he just said "you can just buy some more".... totally missing the point that after planning for THAT pack of buns over the coming weeks, I now have to find a use for them and then buy more to defrost down the line when I actually need them

Been creative this evening and made some heat deflectors for behind the radiators. I used corrugated cardboard from opened out boxes (donated by a local shop :)), covered them with bubble wrap from the roll I bought for the windows and covered that with a double layer of cooking foil, shiny side out of course. I thought the constant heat might dry out the sticky tape so put a blob of glue here and there as well, especially on the edges. Four deflectors made, approx cost £2, I feel really OS :money:

I did promise, so here goes, 28 foot of space that would otherwise have not been used

You cannot see quite how long it is but it spans my stairs as they are straight up with no turning. I really recommend these to anyone especially as heat rises and you can put a duvet cover on folded in half and it simply will not bother anyone else.
