Hi Confuzled - Im pretty sure you can get hyrodgen peroxide in various strenghts in the hair dyeing parts of most chemists here - I have some that I use in exactly the same ways as you (my old mum swore by it even to then extent of using it as a tooth whitener long, long before the current trend for such practices!. My DD says you must be bonkers to put the stuff in your mouth until you have check the percentage per volume (I think this % thingy is on the bottle so get a low one for oral things) but then she is a Biomed student and a bit I-know-everything- these days (what am I saying she has always been like that!)
Elgar dont just lurk - I love doling out advice to you youngters (god what an old village busybody Im turning into!) seriously though I love this board - its my virtual social life - ike having a bunch of friends around the house all the time giving you great ideas - hope the board guides dont mind this>debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0 -

The list does come down - just stick with it, have faith and try and do at least a job a day - two if you can - and you will have it done in no time. You - like me - can take your rest when winter comes calling with a nice cup of tea, warm and snug knowing that you don't have to do out, everything is in order and in the right place and be able to see the worst of it through without panic and crisis!Thank you ... I was beginning to think I had bitten more off than I could chew. I sort of had a mini melt/panic last week I felt so overwhelmed and floundered ..so much to do not enough time ...not just with the winter prep, but it didn't help though. Your thoughtful post with kindly words were just what I needed, So a heartfelt Thank you coming your way xx:jBe Happy....0 -
I can't find the candles that I bought last year:huh:Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0

My local independent pound type store sell it, shops with all the plastic boxes outside and bins of black bags rather than a chain.
Made by bells 9% 200mls and cost me £1.99

Hi all - I have been wading through all the wonderful advice on this thread. Thankyou - but I am concerned that some of you may need some therapy re your toilet roll fetish!
I cannot remember who sugegsted this but I have made myself a "snow day pressie" - thankyou for the idea.
My small box contains a couple of heart warming dvd's, a face mask, some lovely bubble bath and a small box of chocolates -I have had to wrap the whole up, like a present, to protect the chocolates from my wandering hands. That way a snow day turns into a double treat!44 day challenge
1. Pay £650 off overdraft (£ 288/ £650)
2. Lose 12 lbs (4.5/ 12)
3. Use YNAB everyday (6/44)0 -

cheers annie, we have one amusingly called the five and dime (common american expression) they aren't american either :rotfl: if i can't find it in boots etc i'll check there. i haven't looked for a long time though the first time i tried was the same time i got treated suspiciously for requesting the isopropyl alcohol, must have thought i was gonna make bombs or something from the way they looked at me :eek:0 -

Look on Ebay for hydrogen peroxide, you can buy it in different strengths.I use it in 36 percent strength for taxidermy but you can get it in strengths of 5, 7, etc percent.

I have been clearing out the kitchen cupboards and I have found a life time supply of tea lights :rotfl:. Gathered them all into the same place and I have put the matches next to them so when our lights go out again I don't have to go rummaging in the dark!
Been trying to get my OH to put up a curtain rail but he has just left loads of holes in the wall so I think I may have to find a handy person from the paper to come and do it for me.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
elgar, hello welcome and please join in, I am a lady of mature years shall we say (gosh that sounds very dickensian!) but I don't know half what I should know and forgotton the other half I did know.
I have learnt so much here and in these difficult times everything helps no matter how small. I don't always share everyone's opinion or views but thats OK, it's a big world, we can all fit in.0
