Thanks to those who replied re my thermal linings and eyelet curtains question. I think I will do them on rings as hadn't thought about being able to keep them if we changed curtains until anguk said:)
I'm back from town and have bought more loo rolls, method washing, strepsils and lemsips. Go to love HB:) Also bought Sainsbury's basics facial tissues whilst they had them in. They've gone up though from 37p (last time I bought them) to 50p:mad:0 -
We have put the hose and garden furniture away this afternoon, the washing machine is going ten to the dozen as it is a beautiful day here and I want to get everything done before we go away on holiday.
We won't be using the furniture and hose when we get back so it made sense to do it now and have them locked safely away. We have also switched off and drained the outside tap as well. I shall put it's cover around it in October when we have a final check through.
It was very nippy first thing as well!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

As a long time lurker I would just like to recommanded the heated throws my OH bought me one last year (he works outside and is never cold) it is a pifco one and me the dog and cats all snuggle up under it is saves us putting the heating on0

Mancbird - see above post for these rave reviews for a heated throw -just the thing for night feeds as bigsmoke says - Im determined to keep you and the little fella warm!!!!
Im pretty pleased a I managed to bag a Boden pale blue mostly mohair little jacket at CS for 4.95 which I ould defo use in the house if need be without looking as if about to do a flit (good scots word for moving and certaily no moonlights involed in their use of the word)
- Hi Red - Doe - havent forgotten you up in the wilds - how about a heated throw for you and yours to snuggle under as they seem v. cheap to run?
Also there was a trespass michelin-man type jacket with hood in pale pink mind, for £7 - I asked them to keep it for me for a few days and I am a bit worried about the money running out and still in a quandary as to what to do about this blessed NHS mouthguard which might or might not cost over£200.
I dont have a really warm jacket iwth a hood and I get so cold around the neck and ears even with hats and sarves as there always seems to be a gap somewhere - still debating whether or not to buy it.
Also got a broom handle and 2 big hooks for a curtain rail - this time for my bedroom door - its a sliding affair and has MASSIVE gap all around it + loft hatch is just above it and it faces the staircase, so any draught comes rushing up the stairs, joins its pals from the plywood loft hatch and then they come and have a party around my poor aching head and neck. I'm just going to attach v old curtain I found a t back of airing cupboard (Ive had it 25 years and it was second hand from my dad then - very good old heavy if faded velvet) and Im going to use ribbon to make loops, I wont be 'drawing that much just creeping around it.debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0 -
Craghoppers arrived
Even better. The smaller size fits :rotfl:They are lovely and snuggly.
Now off to buy yaktrax and investigate heated throws. You lot are costing me a fortune:pGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Mine came too and they are fab not very attractive but warm enough :-)0

Yeah. Not even remotely attractive, but I won't care out in the snow with the furry beast.
ETA: Heated throw ordered. DH is going to have a fit at how much I've spent while away. More than when I'm at home.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
