They're so soft and warm, can't wait to try them out. Was so chuffed I ordered a pair for my sister - incidentally they've been reduced by another £2!!Carolyntia wrote: »I got these ones....they also do a longer length one

Ohhhh, really want a pair of them & such a good price (have a pair of craghoppers which are great but not the fleece lined ones).
Have them in my basket but can't find anything on their website - is a signature required for delivery?

Belated thanks to Helen, confuzzled and mad4camping for the duvet as mattress topper advice, I'm definitely going to give it a try!
Was scouting potential cheap duvets today and if it helps anyone Yorkshire Linen Company have fleecey mattress protectors in the sale, king size was reduced to £10.99. My current one was from there and it's lasted for years, washes really well and is so toasty warm! I think they have a website too. They also had flannelette sheets on offer but I'm afraid I didn't make a note of the price.0 -
Aww cheers, I think that was me :-) Mine came as well today, I'm really impressed with them, and like you found them to be a little long (though won't warrant adjusting). They fit perfectly around the waist for me, which is nice as I find size 8's can be a bit unpredictable for me and sometimes are baggy round the waist but fine everywhere else.

Good morning preppers, just catching up since yesterday.
Confuzzled, we may indeed be secretly related, who can know? I decided that 3 Fray Bentos steak-and-kidney pies was an insufficient buffer against imminent starvation and nabbed another 2 whilst in Poundland yesterday. I like these as handy stand-by grub for when it's cold and wretched and a body feels in the need of some serious padding. The joy is that they are flat and stackable which makes them a hoarder's dream item. Can't believe the proper supermarkets get away with charging £2 for them when all the discount places will sell you them for £1 (and long-date, too).
Yaxtrax question, if people would be so kind as to help.
I spotted these in an outdoors-y store yesterday whilst looking for something else and wondered if £16.95 a pair is the going rate or whether they are cheaper elsewhere. I'm seriously tempted but I have to be sure I'm getting the best price or I'll fret.

Oooh, had a thought re extra-warm trews; you can see these in TK Maxx from time to time, in ski-wear. I don't mean salopettes, just bulky trousers. Would be lovely for anyone who has to walk a long way thru snowy weather or do the horses etc.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

GreyQueen - that does seem to be the going rate for Yaktrax. I posted earlier that Amazon had large in for £10 (not sure if they still have though) Other option is the cheaper ones from QVC that are two in a pack for £22ish including postage. Last year I just bit the bullet and bought my Yaktrax in August as I didn't want to risk not having them.0

If you google "make your own belly band" this brings up lots of sites suggesting how to upcycle old tshirts/sweatshirts into a custom sized band to go round your middle. Great whether you are pregnant or not!
thanks to everyone for the suggestions so far, i'll have to do this one i think as i'm a size 26 so i don't think the other ones will fit sadly but with this idea i can sort that problem :T maybe i can put a special fleece insert in the bit on my back too for extra warmth... cheers for the tip!0 -
GreyQueen - I paid £20 for mine inc. postage (on ebay) so your price sounds pretty good to me.
Rising - Yep, I had to sign for my ones.0 -
