At that price it would be worth getting them and attaching a panel of your chosen colour to the bottom/top
Hope that helps0 -

Have a peep in the clearence section, i bought a pair of 90x90 curtains for £8.99 yesterday - my local had quite a few variations going. i will be using one on the front door and the second on the lounge/hallway. i am hoping the gathering effect will also keep a bit more heat in as they are not lined.
thanks, i didnt even think of argos for curtains.
ive made the decision to buy new ones for my living room though as the ones i bought originally from next are floor length and will block the radiator so the living room curtains will go into the french window in the kitchen and i will get new shorter curtains for the living room.
and then in summer/spring we can take the short ones down and replace them with the longer ones from the kitchen if OH feels so inclined
ETA
woohoo, got 2 pairs of curtains, one pair for the hall windows (only need one curtain on each window) and the other pair for the front door and as only need one curtain, one can go on the back doorbargain price of £31 plus parking as need to go into town tomorrow to pick them up
and will combine that with a frog off my flylady list
eta: also decided to reserve a kingsized duvet and get that crossed off my list whilst in town.0 -

I have to say I'm chuckling at this - in August!:D
Still, better it's there than you forget about it later on. My boot's so small my winter kit takes up all the room so sitting in a box in the garage for me to remember to put in (hopefully;)).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
bit of a random question, we're thinking of buying net curtains (purely for privacy reasons) but I was wondering if they make any difference in heat insulation? We've got pretty good windows as the landlord's just had some new ones installed, but it was just a thought!
ta folks! xxEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Lol glad it made you laughHowever my thought of the day whilst cleaning the garage was:
'Why are the jump leads in the garage? I'm hardly likely to be able to jump start the car with them sat in here' Duh :doh:As my dad always used to say 'Just because you've got the money doesn't mean to say you have to spend it all at once'0 -
Hi,
I too am loving this read, and after being inspired by all you very well prepared people, I have been impressed by all your efforts to make a start on my own preparations.
so, this weekend, I have:
Ordered velux blind,
Washed throws and started to line SD's new curatins with them,
Been given, by a very generous lady on freegle, a WW2 air raid blanket, which is nigh on indestructible, and is made of very warm draftproof stuff, so I will hang this in front of the cellar door this week.
Can't wait for winter now!Sometimes you're the dog, but more often you're the tree!:D0
