I think on the wall above is best, also helps cut down draughts if the curtain covers past the width of the door each side iyswim... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I haven't got any up yet, but plan to do what my mum did when we lived in a Victorian end terrace 3 storey house with no central heating or double glazing. She hung the curtains above the doors so the curtains hung down even when the door was open. My cat doesn't do closed doors, but she'll be able to push the curtains & get in or out of rooms!0 -
Finished off cleaning and wax polishing the car yesterday and it was a big job. The carnuba wax though really does protect the paintwork - even though I keep my car in the garage when at home.
So here is the next big tip screen wash solution. Now ast year I clearly recall a huge rush on the screen wash that Halfords put in urgent orders to their suppliers and I couldn't get a small bottle of screen wash from Wilkinsons for several weeks (even though we had some left we were running low).
Buy your screen wash now and stock up. Halfords had pre mixed screen wash on a few weeks ago on BOGOF at £5.99 currently it is on offer for £3.99. I can mix the solution up easily myself so for me I buy in the concentrated stuff and I think it actually works out cheaper doing it this way. Keep your eyes peeled for screenwash offers!
mcjordi thanks oodles for that info :TCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Anyone know where ,in the west of Scotland or online, to get shoe ice grippers for below the £10 mark? Need to get a pair each for myself, DH and DD.
Many thanks0 -
I found this on amazon ideal for carrying in the car and at home

I have also been buying emergency foil blankets, and thermal socks from poundland - a lot of the camping stuff comes in very useful in the winter.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Just got back fro Lidl's and in there they have a five litre ready mixed winter/summer screenwash for:-
£1.99
There was five left when I picked one up - so either they have had a big run on it or loads are reading our winter thread :rotfl:. I don't mind the premixed for that price and if it does come really cold at least we are not faffing about adding water. Just pour it in and go!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:
