Oh flipping heck. What did I say last night? I was ready for it? Well the snow isn't coming (boo) but the boiler froze again last night so i've been outside for the last half an hour trying to unfreeze it. Hubby's still in bed and do you think the fire will take  It's 11 degrees in the living room currently, but I guess i'm lucky I caught it before it got any lower.

Oh well, am up now - might as well start getting ready for my interview...

Good luck with your interview sexkitten and hope the boiler just decides to work again by itself!
So much for preparations eh? I've lain awake since 4am because DH has invited his son to stay with us on Christmas Eve. He doesn't know what mayhem he's caused, we were just going to give him money in an envelope but now I'm thinking what are we going to do on Christmas Eve with a quiet (read uncommunicative!) 16 year old who isn't interested in anything? and I'll have to go out in the snow today to get him some pressies to open on Christmas morning. Can't really let him sit and watch us open ours can we? I know that it's the season of goodwill but I'm really fighting the urge to kill him (DH) as he sleeps....men! Any suggestions of 'things to do' and cheap gifts would be VERY welcome:) So far all I can think of is a dvd and takeaway. I had fancied a carol service at our local church but reckon that's cancelled now...

Our forecast is not above -5 daytime and down to -13 nights for this week. I'm fine here, don't need to go out at all, but the OH is getting cabin fever. I might have to shoot & eat him.

We are desperately trying to find a way to get my oldest son from his flat in Edinburgh, down to the Border General hospital for an appt. He had to cancel the last one a few weeks ago because of snow, and he's in a lot of pain & doesn't want to cancel this one. The main road is clear but we can't get out of the village onto it to go ad fetch him. He's just sitting in the bus station in the hope that a bus materialises ! (got arthritis or something in his feet, can't walk far without a lot of pain).
