Behind the plinth under the kitchen cupboards for a start. Great for tins and other foods in good plastic boxes. No-one thinks of that area.
If you can get them off! I used underbed boxes under my kitchen cupboards at a previous house. People don't think about the space they waste when fitting a kitchen. i.e. who uses the top of their cupboards? I can't fit anything up on mine, and when I could (at a previous home) stuff always got covered in that greasy dust that kitchens love to give off.
If I ever own my own home again or even if I am lucky to have a kitchen fitted for me I shall ask for no plinths and nice legs and cupboards to the ceiling. I also want double high level ovens and a fabo hob, an island with a marble top for making pastry wouldn't go a miss either! but we can all dream and wish can't we! lolDonna

Flipping snow, must have had 2 inches+ overnight and its still falling.
Finished wrapping presents last night ready for posting, with the cards I also finished
Every year they will be done by beginning of Dec,this year I hadn't even bought them-wastes a lot of time looking for something you haven't got:D
Trouble is the parcel for posting is heavy and reckon the car is going nowhere today-unless its sideways.
Managed to stock up last week so have now got spare toothpaste-along with bread flour and 9 packets of Panjana tea:D(we love it and it was on offer,C@op and 40p cheaper than last time I bought it)
Snow shovel went back in shed 2 days ago, have to y-ktr-k to it-early present from DD1-very good as well

My friend has a lidded see thru box that is FULL of cards ans she just gets them down in early Dec and is all prepared! I am going to hopefully borrow this trick this year.

they must sleep in a hotel somewhere and the cottage is just the 'stage' for the domestic bits of the programme as when they did Victorian Farm; I believe there's only one bedroom in this place too;
they'd probably have all sorts of insurance issues about leaving the place empty with a fire goingWe watched one of those programmes recently where the servants were invited into the 'big house' and they were allowed to 'enjoy watching' the pampered children play with their toys! Talk about rubbing it in! I know, it's just a programme...:D
The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Oh yeah, and if you put the blankets in with the hot water bottles, they would be lovely and warm.
I took a heated wheatpack with me and placed it on the dash board while I faffed about with icescraper etc to help warm the windscreen up, then put it on my lap while driving...central heating, lovely!:) I reckon you could wrap it in in a fleece or under your coat to keep it warm for longer. The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.

Aaaah, you mean it isn't real? That's another of my myths shattered. You can't trust anyone these days can you?

Yes, I've always assumed that is what they do too - otherwise they'd be much more OS and have thick curtains, door curtains, peg rugs etc around!:D Ruth's nails fascinate me too, sooooo long and yet she's shown scrubbing floors etc:rotfl: Am not really critising as I've loved all the series that they've done and generally I think they are brilliantly presented and are a joy to watch:T0 -
I am getting addicted to the netweather regional thread combined with raintoday (premium) it is radar and at the moment is much more accurate than the weather models used by the forcasters. Apparantly they are having a nightmare time predicting for the next few days. Am now resigned to no food delivery today as the roads are treacherous0

Just a quick reminder for anyone keeping their stores in the garden shed. Although we haven't had much snow here I have just been out to make sure there was enough room in shed for delivery ordered for today. Apart from having to use the car de-icer to free up the padlock and bolt, when I went in I found 2 bottles of squash which were nearest side had frozen! Luckily wine stash was ok (phew!). Have now put garden furniture cushions between bench and walls to try to provide a bit of insulation, and will have to think about what I put out there and what I keep in house.
Cat wasn't too happy trying to dig his "hole". Kept looking at me as if to say "what's going on here then?".0
