This cruise aboard the Celebrity Eclipse is Southampton across the channel to a few French ports and back to Southampton. Seams to be a great price for Celebrity, it is a Charter straight after its 5 day dry dock service.

Ok. Totally new to cruising & the cruise forums are a little scary. In fact the whole cruise thing seems intimidating, from getting discounts, using American TA's, which cabins etc.

All I want is a good deal on a Scandinavian cruise for next summer. I have to be back at work after the August bank holiday (29th) and I can go any time after the first week in July.
OH wants to go to Sweden as he's into his Scandinavia-Noir thrillers & wants to see the scenery from the programs like the bridge at Malmo. No idea if this is even possible.

Is there a Cruising for Dummies guide anywhere?

Most cruises (e.g. Celebrity, RCI, NCL) around Scandinavia are either Baltic Capitals, stopping at Stockholm, or Norwegian Fjords, skipping Sweden altogether.
