I definately want it to be over the Christmas period rather than before (or after).
Budget around £2000.
Warm(ish) would do. Very warm would be nice, but not essential. Sunshine/fine weather preferable, heat not as important.
Probably an impossible list of requirements!

Ok do you have any blackout dates?

If we can say any dates as long as it includes Xmas(that will help with flights) around 10days and upto £2k(does that include spending money?).

I will kick off with NCL spirit from Barcelona 16th-26th Dec. to the Canaries(warm, sunny but can be windy in Dec)

Cruise will be about £1k solo inside.

BA flight LHR £150, LGW £105(74 no checked bag) might be other cheaper options.

parking at Heathrow T5 (NCP incl hopper tickets) £35

taxi to ship £30, much cheaper options available

<£1300 leaving £700 for drinks special meals and trips off the ship.

The NCL jade does 11night 23rd so included New years that is £1500 for the cruise so will stretch the budget

I think you will be able to do what you want just need to find some more options.

Looking at the spirit cruise more closely.

last year similar dates price came down in Oct/Nov quite a bit probably <£800 solo, but I know flights get harder to source.

1st Dec 2013, nine days, the Spirit Canaries cruise was £220 for a solo inside cabin, albeit that price was booked the day before the cruise. Was only £100 or so more a month before the cruise.


Was only windy on deck, in port was lovely sunny weather everywhere we went. Am tempted to leave 9 days free this December.....

Nov Dec are the bargain months for Med/canaries cruises unless you want Xmas week and even worse if you want NY

We might just do the 6th B2B with the 16th this year or look at another ship from BCN. What I need to find is the UK pricing for the Xmas cruise last year to see how it dropped, we took the Jade from Rome booked US and the final drops did not get done on US bookings.
