There are lots of bargains appearing as it seems there is over-capacity and the cruise lines are having difficulty filling their ships. I reckon anything at £50pppn is excellent value.

    A couple of examples:
P&O Oriana on 27th June, 14 nights to Norway & Iceland for £699.

P&O Azura on 29th June, 14 nights to the Baltic inc 2 nts in St Petersburg for £599.

We wanted to do the Azura one but OH couldn't sort the leave, so we've booked a round Britain one on Ruby Princess, 12 nights dep 3 Aug, for £749 with $300 per couple on board credit.

Never been a better time to get into cruising, I reckon.

they are getting down to £30pppn but then those often need flights.

If we can get below £50pppn door to door then we are happy.

MSC Cruises are doing a 1 night Cruise from Southampton to ljmuiden(Amsterdam) on May 26th for 1 night.

The Cruise will be on board MSC Opera and comes with all meals.

you will have to make your own way home but for £19 per person is a great price.

i booked it about a month ago and the price was £29 but now £19 so must be trying to fill it.

    all details on MSC website.

As a total cruise novice, I was thinking of a cruise over Christmas for about 10 days, hopefully somewhere warm. I am in the South, so a Southampton departure would be good, but I am willing to fly if need be.
Added to this I will be travelling alone, so need to be aware of single supplements.
Any tips, ideas or starting points? anything to be aware of or avoid? is it better to book sooner or later?
