Anyone heard of Pullmantur? There are sparse reviews around. Main language is Spanish but I love immersing myself in other cultures so will not bother me at all. Itineraries are interesting, prices very low, kids go free and the packages are all inclusive! Too good to be true?! I read the ships are old, sold to them by bigger companies but if they are all clean does it really matter. Decisions decisions, I must book something soon and get some peace
I booked with this company last night, waiting for their confirmation now, which hopefully will be ok. 7nights from Malaga on Sovereign (ex-Royal Caribbean Sovereign of the Seas apparently) for 1500 euros - 2 adults, 1 child, 1 baby in a junior suite with balcony all inclusive. I'll let you know how the booking process goes, feeling a bit nervous for jumping into the unknown ...
P.S. It wasn't meant to be, our baby will not be full 6 months by a week so not allowed to travel. The search continues ...0 -
We are considering our first cruise for my 40th next year. I want to cruise for up to 7 nights, and stay over either before or after the cruise.
We are considering either the Caribbean or the Far East, can travel between 25th October and 11th November 14.
We are taking my dd (she will be 18) is it true she can't drink alcohol on any cruises departing from a US port?
What about cruises from the Caribbean?
Thanks
Forgot to add budget, cheaper the better but looking at around spending 4k including flights.£100 - £10,0000 -
If you go on a US ship you have to be 21 aside from in Europe where you can sign a parental waiver.
The beginning of those dates may be half term in the UK so if you go further into November you will pay less.0 -
Thanks poet123. If its not a US ship are the rules different?
We have to travel then due to my dd being at college and that's when she is off unfortunately (or we could leave her at home!)£100 - £10,0000 -

I think so, if you were sailing with P&O for example I think they have the 18 rule, as would Cunard. Have to say I am not 100% sure though.
The US cruiselines are very strict on the 21 policy and if they suspect you of giving alcohol to someone under that age you can be thrown off the ship.0 -
Thanks again Poet, no I wouldn't try and sneak her alcohol. I would rather just choose a cruise that she can have a drink if she wants to.£100 - £10,0000

I have experienced multiple cruises but my experience with Dubai Cruises is really memorable as i feel like staying in the fantasy world and my flippers were flying in the air.0

For future reference be careful on Pullmaturs if you are a non smoker as it can get very very smokey with smoking even being allowed in the dinning room and theatres. It might not be too nice especially if you have little onesIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0
