We loved MSC, a very diverse clientele, but enjoyable because of that.

We are planning for our first cruise with our 3 year old daughter during late Aug 2013 or Sep 2013. We would prefer about 7 days cruise out of Europe only. I have only looked at the cruise sites only don't know where to find deals or travel agents. Priority will be good kid clubs for her age and child friendly. Don't fancy formal dress up.

Any suggestions what to start with and look at what included what's not.

NCL Epic Med cruise has all sorts of kids character stuff. No dress up required. All meals included. Kids clubs on port days may be extra. www.cruise.co.uk although there appears to be some cartel going on with cruise pricing in the UK this year based on my experience of booking our own cruise this summer.

Ok, firstly September will be cheaper, as the schools have gone back.
Secondly, although a lot of cruise do formal nights, there are always many other places to eat apart from the main dining room where formal wear is worn. So, don't discount a cruiseline because of that just decide to eat elsewhere on that /those nights.
Thirdly, good cruiselines for kids would be Disney (no idea if they are in Europe at that time) Royal Caribbean, possibly P&O and NCL.

We always use a US TA as their terms/fares seem to work out best for us.

    We use this site: https://www.cruisecompete.com
we pick the cruises that appeal and then wait for the agents to come back with offers. These can include free drinks packages, free tips, onboard spending money etc. This depends on the agent and the sail date. Then we check the UK online agents to see if the deal is better than they can offer.

Hi. First of all I appreciate that this may not be the right place for this post but it is cruise related! I hope I will be able to tap into the obvious wealth of knowledge on this board.

We are sailing from Singapore to Hong Kong via Bangkok and three stops in Vietnam, does anyone have any tips for booking excursions, we have the option of booking via Azamara but I know there are alternative options. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Have you had a look at cruisecritic.com ?

The forums will have a roll call for your sailing (or you could start one) and independent excursions are discussed and arranged there
